The Pakistani Spectator

Now it is beginning to get on the nerves. Zardari may be the most distressed and dysphoric widow of the world, but he must stop showing it off. By merely showing this thing off, he has put himself in the position of president of Pakistan, and earlier has kept himself intact as the chairperson of the party, while ensuring that his son gets his place when the time comes whenever in the future.

Pakistanis are gullible, and they will perhaps keep on getting cajoled by this display of artificial mourning and emotional blackmailing, but the West is far more educated and objective, and they don’t really give it a damned as what Zardari has passed through, and they by all means take him on merit as the head of state, rather than the widower of a late Prime Minister, who was darling to the West.

In general assembly of United Nations, the 2/3 speech of our President was about Benazir Bhutto, and as he approached the dice, he awkwardly waved the picture of Benazir in front of the astonished high profile audience comprising of world leaders, and then set about haranguing about democracy and how he and his late wife are the champions.

Enough of the melodrama, and please stop naming every building and road in the country to the name of Benazir Bhutto.
