Zardari Really Between Devil and Deep Sea?

Pakistan People’s Party is about to go back on his yet another agreement with PML-N. The latest agreement was struck on 7th August, in which it was ideate that the deposed judges of Nov. 2 would be restored within 72 hours of the impeachment/resignation of General (r) Musharraf from the Presidency. The agreement was signed by both Nawaz Sharif of PML-N and the Zardari of PPP.

Now once again the matter to restore the judges is in limbo, and Zardari wants to follow Minus One Formula, according to which Zardari wants to keep the current chief justice Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar as the chief justice, while restoring all the other deposed judges minus Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhary.

PPP is now playing a stretched gal entangled between her family and the lover. They express their love for the judiciary and they ostensibly cherish their love for democracy and their abhorrence for the dictatorship, yet the ground realities are that PPP wants to keep Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhary away from the mantle of Apex Court to save NRO, and they want not to execute General Musharraf to appease the international guarantors like Washington and London. Above all, PPP wants to get rid of PML-N, and want to rule the whole of country, especially in Punjab.
