Zardari, Nawaz You Cannot Turn Your Back Now
By Ali Yar Khan • Feb 20th, 2008 • Category: Pakistan Vote'08, Politics • (1,315 views) • 2 CommentsSo the voters have stated that what they want in Pakistan loud and clear putting PML-Q in electoral oblivion. After the ignominious routing of PML-Q in General Elections in Pakistan, now all eyes are set on the political leaders of PPP and PML-N.
Yesterday, both Asif Ali Zardari and Mian Nawaz Sharif have categorically demanded from President Musharraf to resign as his party has been rejected by the nation in the polls, but as was expected, President Musharraf has refused to oblige and has said that he has been elected President for five more years.
President Musharraf has also received support from President Bush, much to the chagrin of Pakistani nation. George W. Bush during his tour Ghana has said that elections in Pakistan were free and fair and now US wants that the new government should work with President Musharraf.
Now Pakistani political leaders have to show courage and sagacity. On 18th February, 2008 another chapter was writ large in the extraordinary saga of the tyranny versus the democracy, judiciary versus deposition as nation spoke. Now these leaders must understand that nation is standing behind them. They cannot turn their backs.

It is time they fulfill their promise to the nation. Lets see what cards Mushy and his comrades play. They’ll surely offer PPP to make a government with the Q league. What if PPP accepts the offer? Lets hope that this doesn’t happen that way.

Pakistanis has made great mistakes by giving votes to the parties of most corrupt politicians and soon they will repent and remember the gone days of Musharraf/PML Q, in the same way when they remembered the era of Zia-ul-Haq during their period of 1988-1999.
God bless Pakistan
