Why People Write in Public Toilets?
By Amna Gilani • Jun 22nd, 2009 • Category: Misc, Worth A Second Look • 37 CommentsI was traveling towards Swabi from Lahore on Motorway and wondering as what an outclass and outstanding roads we have got, and the same drivers who become crazy on G.T Road or intracity roads, were driving like angels. Flashing lights of motorway cops were enough to ensure tranquil driving.
Scenic motorway is surely a gift to the Pakistanis, and it surely rocks. We stopped at Chakri interchange for some refreshment. As there was some maintenance going on in the ladies washrooms, I was told by an attendant to use the male washrooms, as they were empty at that wee hour in the morning. I went to the washroom, and encountered the same graffiti which I once saw in Murree some years ago in a public toilet on the Mall road. On my front wall were drawn some male and female sexual organs with some comments. Below them were written some poetry like words telling whoever cared that how cool it was to be with one’s lover locked inside a washroom.
On the right side, there were some abuses, insults and other remarks for the person using the toilet. And there were lots of them. There were also written some jokes about the same poor person, who was giving answer to the nature’s call. On the left wall, there were written mobile numebrs of people, who were promising lasting friendship and love, and some even did a favor to others by guaranteeing that the number they had written belong to some girl. Mobile numbers of call girls were also written at one wall. All that stuff was surely written by many people. Blue, Black, red and green markers and ball points were used with different hand writings.
The moral of the story is that the public toilets in Pakistan are the same even on the Motorway.

I had a chance to read a book written by Ajmal Khattak few years ago, while he was in jail. Topic was same, but he had written about same chaos in jails. Unfortunately I don’t remember name of book now.
I guess people write in public toilets that one day Amna Gilani will read those and write a blog post. The problem with all of your post and even in this one is that you go into details of the problem but never ever even try to provide any solution. You started the blog with “Why People Write in Public Toilets?” so can you please enlighten the readers why people do so?

hey mr @5 if ansa is not replying you then why are you dragging me in your mess.Its better to have fair and open fight with me .If sometime people like you behave like danny or marry phantom then it is not my fault.I always keep my standard high and fair in my wordy and actual war of differences of opinions.

Why People Write in Public Toilets? its simple answer is hidden in all the comments of dr raza.People want to spit their anger and frustration to someone or some where.Dr raza is taking TPS like public toilet and victim is me oftenly. So you should be thankful to him for his practical demonstration of your query.

Why you have opted to pass your only one life in many disguised personalities with different identities.

You find this is most appropriate way of amusement or to pass your solitude by creating many imaginary characters in your mind for fooling others.

You might get answer to these questions after Raza tries to understand the questions that you have asked him.
There is problem with Raza, whenever someone asks a question to him, he cant understand it. I guess that were his English falls short. If you are able to write in some other language he may answer you.

Yes I dont want to be abusively chased by you.It is fact and you have to accept it.I am beyond the range of your chase.This way you can restore or upgrade your true dignity as writer and doctor.You know whom our people trust in their lives after God it is your profession and on you.You people are lucky as always receive blessings from people who always look you in pain.You have license to kill without any doubts in their minds and all time messiahs for them.
So dont malign your true qualities in dirty war games as sometimes we all feel hurt after such mess.
