Why Office of President is Above Law?

He has shares in every major business, and he controls 90% of the media. The tycoon premier of Italy has got enough connections in the underworld and he is supposed to do anything he wants.
Italian Prime Minister Berlusconi was recently accused of giving his former tax lawyer 400,000 euros to give false evidence during trials in the 1990s. Other charges include tax fraud, corruption, false accounting and illegally financing political parties. A flamboyant figure, Berlusconi was in the news earlier this year over allegations that he solicited call girls, including an 18-year-old.
Like our President, Berlusconi also enjoyed an immunity, but after these charges the constitutional court of Italy lifted the immunity Berlusconi couldn’t even squeal.
NRO is not much different from the immunity, even worst. Our president was convicted by the Swiss court, and has got many many cases in pending, and now with NRO not approved by assembly, those cases will still be there, but then our president has immunity. Does Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has got the mettle to lift the immunity of President?
