The Pakistani Spectator

For some days I am wondering about as why the media and some of the government officials are creating hype over the looming terrorism danger in South of the Punjab. They say that the area is teeming with the madaris, the area is backward, very limited education and job / business opportunities, and that some of the caught terrorists belong to this area.

Well, same is the case in the suburbs of the Islamabad, the most modern city of Pakistan, the capital. So is the case in almost every city of the Pakistan. Tell me one city which hasn’t got a booming market for creating Madaris, and which has got jobs, business chances and from where the terrorists don’t belong?

Actually the thing is that this phenomenon is spread throughout the country. We have to change minds and hearts. We have to give our people awareness, let them know about the boons and  blessings of modernity. Enable them, give them life, share with them the fruits of modern times and this extremism will evaporate in no time.

And stop blundering like that.
