White Tea & its Benefits

White tea is the oldest form of tea. It is made from immature tea leaves and has many varieties and these depend on the ratio of leaves to buds used in each mixture. White tea also tastes Great!

Anti Cancer Properties: White tea has the cancer fighting properties even more effective than Green tea. This has flavonoids which are a class of antioxidants that repress the growth of cancer cells and also prevents development of new ones. White tea extract can also protect skin after exposure to sunlight to protect against skin cancer.

Lowers Blood Pressure: White tea thins the blood and improves artery function by promoting strong and healthy blood vessels. White tea guards against the ravages of stroke.

Lowers Cholestrol: White tea has antioxidants that reduce cholesterol by helping prevent hardening of the arteries and blockage of blood flow.

Healthy Teeth & Gums: White tea contains fluoride and other nutrients which keep the teeth strong and healthy. It is helpful in killing the bacteria that cause plaque, tooth decay, and bad breath.

Stronger Bones: White tea is very beneficial for sufferers of arthritis and osteoporosis. It is because studies have showed that people who drank tea regularly had greater bone density and strength than non-drinkers.

Antibacterial & Antiviral: White tea is a natural killer of bacteria and viruses. The antioxidants present in it tone the immune system. It helps guard against the common cold and flu.

Healthy Skin: White tea protects the skin and helps to reverse the damages caused by stress, poor diet and due to staying out too long in the sun. It also promotes healthy and radiant skin.

White tea also reduces blood sugar and help prevent the symptoms of diabetes. It reduces stress and increases energy.

Studies suggest tea increases metabolism and encourages the body to burn more fat.

  1. All kinds of teas except Pakistani desi over cooked black tea are healthy drinks.
    We should revise our tea drinking attitude as our majority of population has adopted the worst kind of drinking tea that is not seen any where in the world.
