What is the crime of ordinary citizens of Pakistan?

Pakistanis are seething with anger and they are asking each other as who is there enemy and who is killing their children and their families, and who is blowing himself up without discrimination in the markets and the offices of this country?

Whether these are the agents of International powers who want to see Pakistan unstable or these are the terrorist organizations within Pakistan who want to enforce their notions on the public, whats the purpose of killing innocent people of Pakistan, who are already burdened due to alarming poverty, price hike and other problems?

Suicide bombers are mentally sick and desperate people who lost hope in this world or have no interest in this world and made to believe by their trainers that by killing other human beings they would go to paradise without any questioning and will get many rewards. Though no text has been made public about the brainwashing done to these terrorists by the security officials, there are many stories about it.

But the main questions remains? What is the crime of ordinary citizens of Pakistan? Ordinary Pakistanis do not support the operations in Waziristan, Balochistan and elsewhere and they want to settle the matters through dialogue. They have given their verdict in the favour of their desires on 18th February. So Why then these terrorists are targeting the ordinary citizens on the roads and offices?

Our crime is that we never questioned the preaching of ignorant mullah. In my entire life I have never ever witnessed in any large or small religious gatherings anyone ‘ordinary’ muslim standing up and asking for clarification of any sermons delivered by the maulvi sahaaaaaaaaaaab! We have never learnt to question? We as believers have been raised on dogmas not pragmatic teachings of our religion. Even today when the proverbial ‘chicken are coming home to roost’ we are pointing our fingers at others. This xynophobia is so deeply engraved on our collective psych that we are just no more able to do a serious introspection. Why this killing and mayhem at randem? To create more fear. Fear takes away the ability of rational thinking and rational thinking starts from finding and accepting our own defects. Unless you find your own defect, there is no way you are going to correct anything.
