We are at War, dammit

By Ali Yar Khan • Nov 7th, 2009 • Category: Politics • 3 Comments

Until and unless we dare to wade into the hot waters, we cannot learn how swim in it. We have to part with the rhetoric and the advices and venture out to assert ourselves. Never was more crucial and decisive the time as it is now in our turbulent history.

We are in the middle of a war which our military is fighting with all the resolve in the world. We are into it by force, and now there is no way out for us but to eliminate the terrorists without any second thoughts. The whole nation, if it is to survive, has to support the military through and through. There must not be any ifs and bus and doubt-mongering can wait. Media has to act responsibly and stop becoming mouth-pieces of terrorists, otherwise it should be sternly controlled by the government.

The president who is the supreme commander of the armed forces should also act like one. He has never been to the front line war or even to the base camp to meet with the troops, who are sacrificing their lives for the motherland. He should get out of his bunker, forget NRO for a moment, and show solidarity with the troops. His bold gestures will also help in boosting up the morale of the people. That same gestures should be displayed by Prime Minister Yousuf  Gilani and the opposition leader Nawaz Sharif.

Let the Terrorist apologists like  Imran Khan and Munawar Hassan willow in their hullacinations of referendums and talk shows. Let the nation fight terrorism.

Have a Big heart and EAR to listen, you Do not need to digest every thing you hear. Naming your own people Terrorist Does not make any sense, they might have a different understanding of the issues BUT lets Keep this word for the REAL Terrorist who are Killing the innocent and Challenging the writ of the Government.

  2. People are like sachet of tea that you may not know the true colour of tea——- till it is put into a hot water cup.

  3. So called leaders are seen travelling to the most difficult and far flung areas like Gilgit, Sakardu and Challas to run their election campaigns; the areas which are officially declared as war zones also. But they may not go in the adjacent areas where our troops are fighting and laying their lives to clear the last ditches of menace of terrorism——for the sake of survival of this country [1].

How disgusting it is that these politicians they put the areas on fires———and then ask the armed forces to fight that fire.
