Victimization of Asif Zardari

By Umer Toor • Dec 28th, 2009 • Category: Politics • 5 Comments

From the outset, the anti-Bhutto forces have always ganged up to either keep the Bhuttos and their party out of power or to pull their legs from the citadel of power. These are the people who have always spoken against the PPP and for the public stances this party has always taken in the face of huge challenges.

Asif Ali Zardari is the latest victim after Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto. Just because Zardari represents the democratic Pakistan and just because he is carrying on the democratic and public legacy of Senior Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto, he has become the target of these forces of  darkness.

If you look even casually, you won’t miss the same pattern during the era of Baba Bhutto,  Benazir Bhutto and Zardari Bhutto that permutation of anti-Bhutto forces have always remain the same. They hate the very core of the fact that PPP is only bonding force in Pakistan, which represent people from K-2 to Gwadar and from Karachi to Torkhum. But these forces have always failed to undermine PPP and it’s democratic march.

Victimization of Zardari will only harm Pakistan and we all are just due to this Pakistan. We need to stand behind PPP to save Pakistan. Jeay Bhutto.

  1. How a Zardari becomes a Bhutto without gene replacement defies the logic. What sucker of a nation!

  2. Zardari is not so innocent and PPPP is not only bonding force , we should not forget that in 1971, according to statements and on ground facts , the seperation of Pakidtan is 80 % due to the Bad policy of Mr Bhutto . and the Benazeer Bhutoo Shaheed first two periods are badly fail due to Zardari.when now Benazeer Bhutoo Shaheed Came in to Pakista ,she was very Mature and due to this she set aside Zardari from Her politics. we are not againist PPPP but where is the mostr senior members of PPPP.i.e ,Ameen Faheem, Naheed Khan etc .think logically

  3. @ M. Ramzaan
i am extremely sorry to point out that your historical facts are wrong, the seperation of East Pakistan was not due to the policies of Mr.Bhutto, it was in fact due to the immense sufferings faced by the bengalis, and the prime force in that was our beloved military- who considered the bengalis second class citizens.

  4. President Asif Ali Zardari had set tongues wagging and the rumour mills grinding overtime when in a speech at Garhi Khuda Bakash. It was the limit of restrain that Zardari faced each and every accusation with courage, In fact it was being considered as the weakness of Pakistan People’s Party but finally Zardari told them that PPP did not get rule in begging, it is an elected Govt and no one would be allowed to derail the democratic process. Even Zardari avoided the combative and sometimes derisory language being used against him by his opponents and thereby safeguarded the dignity of the high office he holds.

For the establishment and some people it might be a tug of war for the power gain but in fact it is the war of survival of Pakistan. It is an Armageddon for the Pakistan. I am sure the democratic forces would be victorious. For masses of Pakistan it is also hard to chew the follies of establishment that resulted in separation of Pakistan in 1971 but not now. It is also unfortunate that we are failing to understand that it is not conspiracy and issue of survival of Zardari in corridors of powers, it is conspiracy against Pakistan. Zardari had already mentioned in his speech. By removing a democratic and progressive Govt, certainly these elements want to install a pro-Taliban bonapartist party, or an autocrat. They certainly going to jeopardize Pakistan’s survival and stability. No we have to decide either we have to support progressive secular party or the supporter of murderers.

  5. Blame game, irresponsible media, irrational attitude of political parties and emotions define current state of Pakistani affairs.
Every now and then media tells us that PPP government is going to fell down in three months, six months, eight months, one year, blaming that PPP is the culprit, anti Pakistan, responsible for putting clauses against Army in Kerry Lugar Bill. NRO is going to topple Zardari government; he is the worst guy and Pakistan must get rid off of him. Media is busy in creating perception that Pakistan’s ailment linked with Zardari and PPP, remove him and peace would knock on the doors, definitely establishment is finding hard Zardari on the helm of affairs. On the other hand Security establishment along with their supporters in the form of right wing religious parties are busy enough to dent the democracy, so is enlightened media with their biases and hollow analysis. Let us assume if PPP government is removed, is there any other force that enjoys public support from Karachi to Khyber? Does alternate force present any strategic plan to address economy, deal with US, and peace talks with India, to deal with US pressure esp. war on terror ‘be it Quetta Shura or North Waziristan’? Does anyone have plans to address Balochistan issue better than PPP government? I believe no one. Let the democracy prevail and see the results.
