Trafficking the New Born

By Farid Masood • May 26th, 2008 • Category: Misc • (2,411 views) • 5 Comments

Human trafficking is a big dilemma of the current time. This problem has affected developing countries as much as we can think. People suffering from poverty are forced to seek opportunities abroad. Their quest lead them to get trapped into hands which may add to persisting miseries.

We almost daily hear about people dying while crossing borders between countries, by sinking of ships (as they ride more in numbers than allowed) etc.

In search of dollars, riyals, dirhams, pounds, yens, marks etc many had lost their life. The recruiting agents trap un-educated poor get remaining money with them put them in fire-place.

But the Issue concerned is trafficking the new born babies. Innocent villagers contact lady gynecologists / doctors (in small towns availability of gynecologist is scarce, simple MBBS doctors are available) during pregnancy. Doctors while doing ultrasound may hide the correct information from the parents of prospect child. This is done especially when babies are twins and this opportunity gives them a room to play. Two babies are born one is given to the real parents and the other one may be sold out.

This is a profitable business more fruitful than a maternity case. Media may play a role to educate uneducated villagers / poor citizens so that they are not trapped by their innocence.

Dear farid although the issues discussed have different implications with different mode and motives, which can not be addressed in one heading ,however the modus operandi have same intentions that is trafficking humans.

Sir, this is also true that I do not agree with you partially on the issue of new born but still, your reservation is above on genuine plea to scrutinize than my disagreement.

You see farid, we got to be problem solving .In order to sort and resolve problem, we have to dig the root cause.

Although your idea in above Para can not be own but still in a broad horizon, attention is needed as there are mal practices which if not exactly in run according to your observation have its affiliation in one way or the other.

Professionalism is a term elaborated and widely in usage to indicate, an attitude towards, what has been destined by virtue of expertise and knowledge on a subject that ultimately becomes the bread and butter of a subject class of experts in field related qualifications.

Essence of professionalism relies on ethics .Ethics originates from mixture of social aspect, moral, qualitative, legal, human, etc and of course, requirement on ground of subject knowledge.

Almost all breaches in professionalism have root causes .This root cause take off from, deliberate negligence to criminal motives. However if I curtail discussion on concerned subject of medicine, the derangement brought about in this profession is because of,
    • Indulgence of individual in the field on ground to procure bread and butter rather as human services.
    • Subsidiary of most expensive education all over the world.
    • Irrational institutes at private sector being owned by non professionals, unaware on the subject and interested in marketing only.
    • Absence of check and balances.
    • Supernumerary creations of bodies ,unprofessional and unaware on the subject
    • Absence of audit bodies on subject
    • Implementation of rules /regulation by enforcement ,etc
To cut short there is no mechanism that may

Curtail, prohibit, confiscate, charge or hold such practices in the system, which may abort such unethical, moral, social or illegal practices of individual or the institute at large.

Dear this is a misconception that a person having a degree as MBBS, is too young to be or practice in the field of respective subspecialties.

Bachelor of medicine and surgery has legal weightage and approval by international authorities that grants permission to practice in any subspecialty however during this century, advancement has created vast horizon and flow of massive subject related researches that now hinders the basic degree in to the preliminary platform.

however if we recall previous ancestors and even now our old professionals from India and Pakistan qualified consultants we could manage to understand their move and grip on the subject .

now if I scrutinize your reservation, in the light of qualification, I have no hesitation by supporting my own version that same derangement in system as mentioned above have inducted and indulged individual, who have entered in to the specialty having motive as bread and butter, with previous entry in field due to easy access and subsidiary explosion of most expensive education, and absence of checks and balances.

In my opinion you have indicated a very genuine key point that needs attention but to stop such malpractices, expression of interest demands digging and isolating the root cause of such unprofessional attitude, with reinforcement of laws and exhumating the evil through, check and balances .regards.

    You said it! Thanks !

Media does not care about anything which might be of any benefits to the people at large. All the media cares about is their profit enhancement, by any means, even if they must manufacture disinformation and create panic, fear, and chaos in our society; and even if it is destroyong our very fabric as a nation.

Shame! Shame! Shame ! on these greedy traders of disinformation.
