The Human Clay
By Talal Hussain Malik • May 30th, 2008 • Category: Politics, Worth A Second Look • (3,379 views) • 26 CommentsThe goddess if night was spreading its wings and it was already dark as this group of friends enjoying the cool breeze took to the colorfully illuminated Mall Road, Murree. On the corner of a street they saw a kid of tender age selling toys. It looked strange for a kid to sell toys that actually he himself should be playing with.
There was innocence on his face which forced this group of friends to stop by and purchase something from him albeit that stuff was only for kids. A feeling of gratification was depicted on the kid’s face as he received the money. Several hours later on their way back to their lodging when most of the shops had closed they saw the same kid again still sitting in his place with the hope that he might get some customers. Perturbed, they approached the kid and asked him why he wouldn’t go back home, his parent would be waiting.
“I have no home, I have no parent, I sleep here”, replied the kid.
“Where are your parents?” asked one of them to which the kid replied that they had died. He further said that he would look for the customers till the last shop on the block had closed because he wanted a lot of money.
“And what are you going to do with that money?” asked one curiously.
“I shall buy a gun.”
“Why the gun”, they all asked.
“I shall buy a gun and kill Musharraf because he killed my family.”
When I heard that, it felt like my soul was bleeding. Literally, I was weeping with. The kid had said only a few words but he had whispered a lot of things. There was hatred in those innocent eyes as he uttered those last words and a mysterious somberness covered his face, quite akin to the dark night. I experienced mixed feelings of pity, rage and hatred. What was life worth to this kid whose sole aim of life was to buy a gun and kill someone whom he perhaps didn’t even know?
To the world, this kid is a terrorist descending from a terrorist family. I wonder what would be the feelings of our President if he heard of a small kid selling toys in the street only to buy a gun and kill a man called Musharraf. What, if any, would be the feelings of the sacred cow for whose satisfaction this kid’s family was bombarded?
Crime does not pay, who knows that one day the innocent blood spilled so ruthlessly may speak out for itself and flow away with it those who feel that their feet are above the ground. Who knows!!

In the quest of life, is it “Nothing ventured, nothing gained?” or “Nothing ventured, nothing lost?” I'd venture to find..

Aashique of Musharraf Says: “The best thing in the interest of Pakistan is not to interfere in any country’s internal affairs officially or unofficially, remove all the foreigners from the area or get them registered with the govt. agency.
Destroy all the training camps from these areas and let allow the Pakistani law prevail everywhere in Pakistan.
That’s what Musharraf trying to do and there is nothing wrong in it but STUPIDS takes this simple message on to their nerves and ready to kill their own people and own army, for the sake of others.
These STUPIDS portraying same kind of emotions in case of lal masjid which was not masjid at the time of operation because it was a weapons goodown at that time and ample time was given to the people inside the mosque to come out but those ones who stayed there to fight must be meted out with the same consequences.”
AND I AGREE AND SUPPORT HIS VIEWS!
THANK OU MR. AFTAB.
YOU HAVE GOT AN ANALYTICAL MIND AND CAN LOOK BOTH SIDES OF THE COIN. THE BEST QUESTION ONE CAN ASK FOR ANYTHING IS “WHY?” AND THEN AUTOMATICALLY MIND STARTS WORKING ITSELF.
I WONDER, WHEN OUR STUPID POLITICIANS ESPECIALLY QAZI HUSSAIN, LIAQUAT BALOCH, IMRAN KHAN AND SO MANY OTHERS WOULD START THINKING WITH THIS QUESTION, “WHY?”

Farid,
If Aftab or any of his family members or anyone in his nearby vicinity involved in any kind of terrorist activities or having a nearby training camp for terrorists than only one could expect that any of his family member (God Forbid) could be killed by an attack of a drone.
The simple thing is: drones never bombard a place which is of no means to them. Have you ever heard drone or missile attack in any other part of Pakistan.
Can’t you understand simple thingy?
I hope you will stop writing articles and comments on the basis of HYPOTHESIS

“And listen, never get dejected by such comments.”
Get dejected? No way sir. You know what job I do, if I were to give way so easily I would have no future in my profession, you’ll agree.
As for comments, readers are free to criticize what they don’t agree with, thats why the comment posting section has been provided. However, I am afraid that the Aashique of Musharraf might be Musharraf himself actually, in which case I have a fear of getting disappeard. God help me. Sir if you are President Musharraf, I really didn’t mean what I said, so save my life sire!
Well sir I had no reason to waste my time posting this piece if my intention was only to befool the readers.Cheers..

Farid Sahab, no, no one from my family got hit or killed by a drone, a machine gun, a bomb blast, or any such thing. But, if this is the way we have to go then so be it. You are somehow misunderstanding me. I am neither in favour of a dictator nor I am justifying any wrong acts. But, it is my sincere and honest belief that the terrorists are terrorists (they can be from any nationality and any religion, any ethnicity) and they are not friends of my people or my country and they must be destroyed at any cost otherwise they will destroy us. And I am willing to be part of the cost if that is what it takes then one can’t shirk from his duty for ptotection of the motherland.

Aftab S. Alam
yes fools ignore it, that is why many people are still supporting dictators, all of them are greedy ones “apna ullu seedha kernay k liay’ otherwise they yell on Dectators. We are pround we never took a piece of bone from dictators and are pointing out misdeeds, and those who are opposing it knowing the truth are there waiting for a peice of bone. keep on waiting. I shall ask you if any one from your family (God Forbids) is killed by an attack of a drone.
