The hope for the stressed out Nation!

The terrorists attacks, the high cost of living, economic degradation, no focus on education and health sector, corrupt leaders, dual standards for haves and have nots, ethnic and religious discrimination, women being tortured, street crimes and violence, religious wings not on same page in terms of guiding people, luxurious style prevailing in the elected representatives at the expense of Pakistani tax payers, foreign investment touching the lowest ever, Textile sector in huge turmoil, artificial prices hypes created by triggering the so called shortage of basic commodities like wheat, sugar etc, undue cover to law breakers through N.R.O, people are highly disappointed from the elected leaders, media showing panic and encouraging the west to label us as the most dangerous Nation in the whole world, Media Courts established where you see channels working on the agenda of a particular political party etc, the whole Nation in a state of shock and extreme  stress ….. Welcome to Pakistan!

The suffering is primarily being faced by the poor and struggling class, poor economic conditions are forcing a lot of companies for job cuts especially in the textile sector, We dont have the resources to provide security to common man cause, the available resources are focused on providing the fool proof security plans to the elites and the ruling class. I wish government could stop sending a contingent of minister along with Chief Minister to receive Prime Minister or President at the air port or for receiving the foreign delegations etc, these things cost us fortunes of money and these expenses can be avoided by simply deciding to put an end to it. Similarly our forces spend trillions yearly on use less protocol, making posh mess and Auditoriums and developing cantonment areas in such a manner that an ordinary civilian can only dream of having such a life style. Seeing their life style, a lot of other housing schemes like Bahria Town etc were developed to further urge the people who can not afford such life style to be rich by hook or crook. Tax payers are only government employees and private sector salaried persons, business community declares less income and gets away with paying of very less amount of taxes as compared to actual due to be paid on them. We love short cuts, we use every mean available to earn ten times by unfair means, its a culture now developed and it starts from the top and trickle downs to the bottom.

The solution I see as an effort on individual level to mend our ways first and then by persuading people around us to start a chain reaction of becoming responsible, honest and hard Working. There is no point in loosing hope, we can strike back as a good Nation, majority of us are still good people but now apart from the International Media, our own  electronic and print media played more negatively by showing the negatives only. Its good to high light the truth but not in a manner to create panic and state of no hope in the masses just to sell air time and often working on the agenda of people having their own vested interests.

“Hope is like the sun, which, as we journey toward it, casts the shadow of our burden behind us”

Samuel Smiles

“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times; it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness; it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity; it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness; it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair; we had everything before us, we had nothing before us; we were all going directly to Heaven, we were all going the other way”

Charles Dickens

Click For More Articles By Mian Usman Writing poetry and articles is one my favorite passtimes. I write truth openly in a straight forward manner and dont believe in an indirect hinting towards the truth. Am an ordinary man with an extra ordinary wish to see peace, harmony, justice and equality for common man before I die. For that I have decided to write my inner thoughts on the day to day sufferings around us. Silence can not solve any problem it rather increases it. My struggle will end with me. Am grateful TPS to provide me an opportunity to join a group of very talented writers from whome am learning a lot. Am not a man of letters so you would find my expression not as good as my seasoned and experienced partners who regularly write, my focus is primarily on the message in my articles and TPS is helping me to convey it to a lot of people.

  1. Until and unless the hapless people of Balochistan are granted the right for self-determination

there can be no peace in South Asia.

  2. Raj What about Kashmir, Khalistan, no answers I guess, you fix you problems and let us handle ours.

  3. And Raj what about Manipur, Nagaland, Urissa, Naxils, Ayudhia Massacre and the rapings of nuns?

  4. the hope for our stresse out nation is the media. The media play a revolutionary role today in Pakistan. Evrything can be changed as this is the third eye that can make things better overnight. Just if they focus on what to give coverage and what not. If they stop showing this much violence the terrosit’s activity will be brought down to zero by itself. I think that Pakistan media has not played a good role since this war on terror began. Even now it is not too late. If the media just wake up!!

  5. India is neither a country, nor its inhabitants a nation - this is what a great leader said back in the 1930s. The same holds true today. Even today’s India is a hotchpotch of different nations and disparate, rather conflicting cultures surviving in suppression in a Hindu dominated state. Every other day, there’s news of Hindu fanatics butchering innocent Christians, Moslems, Sikhs and low caste Dillits.

The most plausible solution to South Asia’s problems is the partitioning of India into at least 15 to 20 independent nation states, such as Sikh Khalistan, Moslem Hyderababad, Manipur, Assam, Nagaland, Kashmir….and the list goes on.

  6. I AM SURE IF IT HAPPENS PEOPLE WILL DISTRIBUTE MORE SWEETS THAN WHEN WHEN NAWAZ GOVT. TOPPLED.

I DON’T KNOW WHY YOU GUYS CALL MUSHARRAF DICTATOR. WAS THERE NO NATIONAL/PROVINCIAL ASSEMBLIES, WERE NOT PMLN AND PPP MEMBERAS PRESENT IN THE PARLIAMENT.
WERE NOT MUSHARRAF GOVT AND ITS POLICIES BETTER THAN PRESENT GOVT?
A COMMON MAN DAMN CARE ABOUT DEMOCRACY OR DICTATORSHIP, THEY JUST CARE WHO IS RUNNING A BETTER GOVT. AND WHO IS DOING FOR THE BETTERMENT OF PAKISTAN.

I DON’T WHEN WILL YOU PEOPLE WILL UNDERSTAND THIS SIMPLE LOGIC.
