Thank you Bainazir: A Gratitude
By Farid Masood • Feb 13th, 2008 • Category: Pakistan Vote'08, Politics • (746 views) • One ResponseIt is the talk of the past how you were eager to become the prime minister for the third time, I myself wrote many a time wrote against your eagerness of power and your way to strive for the power was wrong. It was against the will of the citizens of this country. How you made statements regarding renowned scientist were more than the required ones, . . . . .
Your assassination was a brutal and a coward act, who may have done it will certainly meet his fate soon. The probe into your murder was not up to the mark and its not the fault of stock land yard police as their report is based on the facts and figures provided to them. You were a big political figure (really Bainazir) representing Pakistan throughout the world. Such assassinations are never exposed so the nation has to remain blind about your brutal murder.
After your assassination the elections for which you were contesting were postponed till February 18, 2008. There was a strike throughout the country, and hunger stricken and financially depressed people of your country remained looting cash banks, edible items for their survival. Many of them stocked food items to pass some of their time with food stock.
Before your assassination rigging of electoral process was planned altogether to put the king’s party on seats for another term and the country could have been at the brink of civil war. You gave your life in quest of the democracy. The democratic system in Pakistan cannot be achieved by holding just elections. It’s a long run for us. But the riggers are conscious now as the nation has wake up and its not easy now to rig the polling process. But as a matter of fact we are never ashamed of our deeds and will try to do so. The rigging in forth-coming polls will take the country to brink of disaster and we don’t want that.
Lets hope the country is every one’s first priority whether he is a ruler or a common man and what we do or say should be in the greater interest of the nation and the country. Truly speaking the biggest threat today to Pakistan is from rigging than the suicide bombing or terrorist attacks. The rigging is the biggest threat to the nation and to the country.
May your soul rest in eternal piece. Long live Pakistan, die die rigging!
