Taliban Shot and Hang Kidnappers in Mahmand and Orakzai Agency

Last year, 6-year old Ali was kidnapped from Rawalpindi when he was playing outside his home with other kids. After paying ransom of 2.5 million (after selling their home and everything) his parents received body of their kid from the mountains of Mahmund Agency.

Thousands of people get kidnapped each year from NWFP and Punjab and 90% of them are taken to the FATA area. Full tribes are involved in this gory act and they take it as a business. They have links in the cities of Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Rawalpindi and many other cities, and they do full research on affluent and potential targets. They also work with the middle men, who facilitate in kidnapping and taking the money of ransom. Alongside with kidnapping these tribes are also involved in smuggling and car theft.

Local Talibans are working against these tribes, and especially in the Khyber, Oarakzai and Mahmund Agency, these Talibans have started a crackdown on these spineless animals. There are many questions marks over the writ of the government and the attitude of Talibans to take law in their hands and the viability of their mode justice and blah blah. But when a kidnapper is shot in front of hundreds of tribelmen for kidnapping, the others would think ten times before doing such act.

There is no doubt that law and order should prevail in the agencies and such justice, punishment and law should be implemented and executed by the authorities, but then where are the authorities? Where is law? Who would stop these kidnappings? Ask from any intellectual and he would ooze out a long harangue over this act of Taliban, and ask from the parents of Ali, and you will hear a different opinion altogether.

Dear dr asphani, brilliant article, marvelously expressed, my gratitude on such a master piece of selection .thank you very much for providing such info. Please continue disseminating the info off and on so to familiarize the conduct of these afghani vultures in their hide outs.
You see it’s the time that measure has to be initiated at your own level and at every individual domain. It’s a mass racket, only government can not make a fool proof security measures. We got to look after each .only condemning these hooligans would not be sufficient .Taliban need to be crushed. or our fate will not be different from Afghanistan, Iraq and Lebanon.
