Silver Lining in Mumbai Blasts

According to the media reports, Army Chief Gen Ashfaq Parvez Kayani has made it clear to President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani that if India escalates tensions, then Pakistan has to move its troops from the tribal areas to the eastern borders and it would not be possible to continue the war against terrorism.

Munir Orakzai, the parliamentary leader of the twelve FATA members in the National Assembly has express full solidarity with the Pakistan Army and has said that,“I see a bright ray of peace in the tribal areas and if we come out of the American pressure, I can guarantee that there will be peace in the tribal areas in a few days and we will be ready to fight against India on the eastern border along with the Pakistan Army.”

It’s true that if Pakistan Army just leaves the FATA and goes to face the real enemy, the tribes will take care of the Western borders. It would also leave the Taliban with the responsibility of showing sanity, guarding the borders of their country Pakistan, and make sure that no infiltration or attack is carried out on the ISAF forces.

There are also reports that the Pakistani officials have contacted some of the leaders of Tehrik-e-Taliban and other militants. They are our own people, and we have to talk to them. Yes, they have killed people in Pakistan and of army, and have challenged the writ of the states, but then whose hands are clear here? This is the time, when nobody is going to come from outside to help us and we have to unite from within. We must stop killing each other. India is unlikely to indulge in some sort of adventure, but if she does then the world will get a surprise that how Pakistanis from Karachi to Khyber get united with the first practical show of aggression from India.

This is the golden chance to get united in the face of foreign aggression. Enough with the fighting of American war on terror. What have gained from it? Nothing and oppositely America is showing so much compassion and harmony with India, who has done literally nothing for America in the war against terror, rather India is behind the Balochistan militancy and other terrorist activities in Pakistan.

With the blessing of Allah, Pakistan Army is the guardian of our borders. They are on their toes, when we sleep and rest assured that Pakistan army is ready to face any aggression and retaliate in befitting manner. India should end this drama now. All those flimsy stories about terrorists coming on boats all the way from Karachi to Mumbai and then creating mayhem so easily. People of Pakistan share the grief and pain of Mumbaikers on the deaths of people, but India must also see through the blind Hindutva.

  1. Pakistani army is incompetent in the very core and has no long term plans. It is incapable of defending any border of this country as has been shown in all the three wars and the one going on in the north west frontier province right now and in balochistan.
    Don’t brag about things.
If Pakistan army were able to defend itself it would have defended its people in FATA and brought a drone or two down.
This army is a group of rogue self centered sissies who can’t put up a fight with a rat thinking it will bite them back let alone defend the borders of this country.
We should all realize the reality and nip the evil in the bud.

  2. what is this going on around us. How easily our COAS declared that in case of escalation army will move towards its eastern borders and simultaneously our jirga offers peace process with our govt.
This war war is going on there for more than 900 days and we have lost thousand of our soldiers and tribal men in the line of war.Due to this dirty war we have developed a high tension pressure area in specified geographical zone.In reaction of this war as claimed by last and this present govt we had faced thousand of suicidal activities causing big human loss in our civic circle. In comparison to this with India we had history of 20 days of war ,mostly isolated to our border cities and no civic disturbance were seen at this moment against state that is now strong factor at this moment. So Seeing this comparison how dare COAS give such a statement to ruling govt. Our army was here for so called our war against terrorism. Our present and ex govt has helped US beyond our dignity and self respect by selling our people to them, giving them bases and also providing full military supply to Nato forces. They were not there for some friendly adventure continue there for so much long time .In result of this war strong hatred environment has been developed in our northern sides who are facing this war activity for so much long time.
The right step is to investigate by joint venture that who are real culprit behind this high profile terrorism.Blame game can only produce sparks in our cities and ultimately Indian muslims would be targeted to promote hate culture here.Dependency of weak govt on our military is looking quite obvious in this scene of chaos that ultimately give way to military rule in Pakistan. This type of terrorism is actually strengthening democratic norms in India but pave way to another military rule in Pakistan.

  3. COME ON nAZIA,
There was no war going in FATA or wazirstan. It was a war against some criminal elements stage manged by ISI during Musharaff regime to get 10 billion US dollars. Most of the guys were play acting or surrending to socalled Taliban. a professional army like that of pakistan will not surrender to ragtag Taliban. It was just play acting

  4. @ Johann, It’s strange that Pakistan army has lost more than 10,000 jawans and officers in FATA and Swat in play acting…. Pakistan army is fighting there with the RAW agents and Indian soldiers and Israeli soldiers. Pak army should join hands with taliban to drag these foreign terrorists from India out of Pakistan while striking bond with Taliban that no offense would be launched in Afghanistan against NATO.

  5. junaid dear an indian aggression is not required to unite ISI, pak army and taliban .they are already united…if killing 10000 pakis gets billions of dollar from US then be it …that’s the mentality of the Pak government..

  6. Johnn
You re right but not absolute right as we are in state of war and our poor soldiers and tribal men have become vicitms of this war on terrors.Surely this war was imposed on us by US policy makers by blackmailing our weak generals but our people throughout showed resentment against such policies. You can read and see our firy resentment on our electronic and print media.US has made this foul play of terrorism through our military and its corrupt generals therefore before blaming us please point yours fingers towards US too without its help no one can proceed such a big mission in the heart of giant India.

  7. Junaid,

If you are not happy with US or India, why Pakistan is keeping quiet. Why can’t Pakistan say no to money coming from US even Musharaf was ruling Pakistan or earlier. Also why not the army topple the government in Islamabad and take control. I totally agree with you that the current government is a shame to Pakistan, and are not bothered about people in Pakistan.
