Shrouded They Stand

Talibans or no Talibans, more than two millions of brave tribesmen have charged up and they are ready to take on any aggression from the Afghanistan side, face up.

As hundreds of United States led NATO troops armed with their helicopters, tanks, mortars and high-tech weapons have started arriving since last night near the bordering areas Ghulam Khan, Shawal, Amir Chapsar and Alwara, and the US warplanes are hovering in the skies, stage seems to be set for the inevitable US onslaught on the FATA area.

If United States attack this area, then there would remain no distinction between the Talibans and the tribesmen, and as this area is the territory of the Pakistan, so Pakistan and it’s people have every right to defend every inch of this land. The misadventure in the FATA would cost US a lot, and she would remember it for a long time to come.

The concerns of the international community are justified due to the alleged presence of Al-Qaeda in the region, and also the growing armed activities of the militants are also alarming, but that doesn’t warrant any foreign power to come and attack the Pakistani areas, as Pakistanis forces are fully capable to deal with the restive situation, and they are doing their jobs nicely.

But then it’s not about Al-Qaeda or Taliban or Osama, it’s about having a free passage for the oil extracted from central Asia, passing through Afghanistan and Pakistan to Arabian Sea.
