Sheikh Rashid to Join PPP, In Case of Victory

By Salman Mugsi • Feb 24th, 2010 • Category: Politics • One Response

In the NA-55 constituency, things are not well for the chairman of Awami Muslim League, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, who was earlier a very close aide of Pervez Musharraf, the dictator.

Sheikh Rashid had been winning from this Rawalpindi area for more than 20 years, but then he left Nawaz Sharif and joined the dictator and he lost two times with insult. Now Sheikh Rashid is so much desperate to win that he has met with the presidential camp and has assured them that he would join the PPP, if government helps him to win this election.

Governor Punjab Salman Taseer has openly supported the Sheikh Rashid. Sheikh Rashid is primarily a proxy candidate of Pakistan People’s Party and this contest in NA-55 is a showdown between the Zardari and Nawaz Sharif. Whether Sheikh Rashid joins the PPP or not after winning is some other matter, not so much important, but in that case the damage to PML-N would be irrepairable.

  1. Sheikh Rashid is nothing but great Lota of all time. Neither he has specific ideology nor has any vision. He is just a mouthpiece of dictatorship.
