Shahbaz Navigates in Balochistan
By Ali Yar Khan • Jul 16th, 2008 • Category: Politics, Worth A Second Look • (4,171 views) • 31 CommentsOne of the best thing ever happened to Pakistan is the chief minister of Punjab, Mian Shahbaz Sharif, the younger brother of Nawaz Sharif, the two time Prime Minister of Pakistan. Famous for his endless energy and the burning desire for efficiency and providing relief to the poor, Shahbaz Sharif is once again at the helm of the affairs in the Pakistan’s most populous province, Punjab.
While within less than couple of months after taking charge from the stopgap chief minister Sardar Dost Mohammad Khosa, Shahbaz has alerted the bureaucracy from Bahawalpur through Lahore to Attock. Government officials are on their toes in even the remote areas of Punjab, as Shahbaz has developed an uncanny ability to reach at the right places at the wrong times in the right manner, and that is what is giving creeps to the otherwise otiose and slothful machinery of Punjab. The open Kechahris of the chief minister in the Lahore have become a surefire solution provider for the common men and women, though due to the huge rush and limited time, some are disappointed too.
Hearts of Punjabis sprang with jubilation when their son went to the elder and all-important brother Balochistan, and when Balochis saw their younger brother, they forgot their seething rage and they replaced their ire with the extempore smiles of happiness and blithe. Talal Bugti embraced Shahbaz, and both brother lamented the murder of Akbar Bugti by the hands of dictator. Sardar Yaqoub Nasir told the stories of awaiting Balochistan. Nawab Raisani was unable to hide his broad smile and he remained with Shahbaz all the time.
As a token of love and as a gesture of gratitude, from the people of Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif presented the blank cheque to the CM of Balochistan, and the intrepid CM of Balochistan returned it and just asked Shahbaz if they could share the knowledge, and Shahbaz hastily added more slots for the brilliant students of Balochistan in the technical and educational institutes of Punjab. That and Shahbaz also returned the right of the Balochistan and doubled the wheat quota.
Shahbaz Sharif also didn’t want to come back from the land of love and peace and bravery. The land, which guarantees the safety and survival of Pakistan. The land which so generously bestow its natural resources over the rest of the Pakistan and never mentions. The land which has got the lion of heart and which respects the Shahbaz of the Punjab, Tiger of the NWFP and Falcon of the Sindh and Eagle of the Kashmir.

@SAEED KHAN
Dear saeed thanks for the compliment, thou it was to degrade but I accept the same as gesture of a loving critic who had gone through by giving his precious time on the topic to have his say as perception, view and opinion.
Saeed! I agree with what you said.
There is no doubt about my personality that I am a complex person.
This is also true that I am in a habitual mode of writing complex words that, as per your version are obsolete.
But saeed I do not agree with you, that it is my desire to impress my readers through this linguistically fabulous art of writing, so to gain few appreciation with people who are incapacitated and unaware of the theme of the art as float.
You see saeed in your above comments you yourself have admitted, in comment no 30 that “People like us can just talk about it”.
Saeed you got to understand one basic thing.
It’s a chapter from the verses of ever successful candidate that learn by heart so to get the maximum in the form of achievement thereby to be tagged under few positions in and around the classmates.
Why is it that out of 50 students from the class on similar subject of competition, only few qualifies to get under the dome of head as holders of crown?
It is because of their tendency to impress and curtail the thoughts of their teachers as judges so to become differentiated among their fellows.
It is this achievement that becomes the part of appreciation as runner up resultant.
Desire of such candidates is motivated towards achievement whereas appreciation becomes a spectator call during the run.
Dear I am not competing to impress you or any body on the platform so to accomplish as my desire and appreciation.
It’s the theme to excel with competitors who have gain and breached the level of success by practicing and improving the inborn capabilities so to differentiate the class as specialist.
You see its not my problem if people have difficulty in understanding .I do not need to degrade my profile so to make people understand my point of view or theme. It is the people who should elevate the profile so to understand and improve the horizon of their sphere if they want to reach what is being floated.
Expressions, differentiation, choosy, selective, hard, soft, palatable, stink, black, white, crooked and pleasant are terms that demarcate different perceptions and feel.
We got to understand the phenomena of differentiation.
Newton, Edison, Jinnah, Bhutto, benazir, altaf, military, civil, man, women animal, plant have different differentiating qualities as traits and tendencies.
Thou these icons have similar gender and species as human but perspective of visions lineate their specialty.
Similarly you see, you write saeed khan Toronto with all your sayings. This is a differing attitude to lineate and segregate among your own as mark of separate entity.
You would not care if I object to stop writing as I don’t like it.
This is because, you have your own defined strategy and motive and no one can curtail you or mould you as long as your objective is achieved.regards

Dr. Razahaider, with due respect !
Your are a complex person, you are lost many times, in your desire to show off your command in English language. Your use of unfamiliar terminology, to impress reader is obsolete, in modern writngs. I would enjoy reading your views, when they make more sense.
By the way Shabaz Sharif is a great available leader, we can’t deny it.
Hope to see your modern writings soon.

Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif has announced that the Punjab government would deposit Rs 5 million in an escrow account of a talented student who secured third position in the Humanities Group of matriculation exam, despite facing financial difficulties.
The CM made the announcement at a medal awarding ceremony held in honour of the top position holders of the matriculation annual examination 2008 on Friday. Hafiz Shahzad, a student of Pakistan Model High School for Boys, Kasur, got third position despite facing difficult financial circumstances, compelling him to drive rickshaw after the school-hours to bear expenses of his education.
Citing example of the student, Shahbaz said it was a slap on the face of the society and the rulers that a child was doing labour to bear his education expenses.
He criticised the previous government for doing nothing for the betterment of the
people. “The way national resources were exploited during the past eight years, is a stigma to the entire nation”, he added.
He appreciated the role of the private schools in imparting education, saying the government was working on a policy for the registration of the private schools. He added the registration would be awarded to those schools which establish their branches in the far flung areas of the province. He said the schools would also reserve 10 seats for the children of the poor people, adding his government was committed to ending apartheid in education.
To a question, Shahbaz Sharif said the government would review entrance test for admission to the medical colleges and other institutes, adding the test was introduced to end booti-mafia.
Congratulating the student, the Chief Minister said Rs 5 million would be deposited in the conditional bank account on behalf of Punjab government in recognition of the hard work and self-confidence of Hafiz Shahzad Ali who secured third position. The student could utilize the money for post-graduation studies abroad, he added.
He said the government would bear all expenditures on his education in Pakistan. Moreover, all the position holders would be taken on a tour to Murree and would stay at the Punjab House. A contingent of police would be there to salute them at their arrival, he added.
He announced Rs 200,000 for the position holders of all the eight boards in Punjab and Rs 100,000 for the teachers of the position holders. He also announced that the Punjab government would bear the expenses of their higher education if they wanted to study abroad provided they ensured same results in future too.
Shahbaz said a committee had been formed to chalk out a plan for free higher education of the toppers in the BA/BSc examinations.
*Pass percentage remained 52.81 percent
*CM announces Rs 200,000 for each topper of all boards of the province, Rs 100,000 for each head of institution
*Announces free stay of toppers and teachers at Punjab House, Murree with special Guard of Honour

Well, quite an emotional piece by Ali Yar Khan indeed!!!
The gesture by the Punjab CM was the need of the hour indeed, for if it had not come now things could have gone for worse.
However. I beg to differ with some of you over the love and affecttion for the Punjab CM. My dear fellas, such was the love and affecttion for Shahbaz Sharif back in 1999 too when his govt was topplled, yet not a singlew soul of Punjab came out on the streets. I am mentioning this incident after having gone through the details of a army-led coup against Hugo Chavez of Venezula back in 2002 was foiled by the people of the country for their loive for their leader. And Chavez was reinstated as President two days after his forcefull removal.
I only quote this incident to remind you that we as a nation may tend to jump at 99 good things and parsie around but when, just for once a mistake occurrs we, the nation forget the previous 99 things and stick with that and celerate the departure of the person with the distribution of sweets.
I also do quote so here to remind those at the helmn of affairs and you too, the learned ones that when one truly derives power from the masses, and the masses are of clear mind and soul then what come may no army or dictatorship can run over a people’s govt.
P.S. It may seem a bit of out context but the fact of the matter is …………. all the praises for the man forced me to remind you to remember these little decisions of any givt too when we start distributing sweets at their outser.

All time culprits??? Only Sharif Family??? Please balance the comments by putting some light on those who have been proved as culprits. I don’t feel important to mention name of them here. Please don’t be always critic. Try to appreciate good works and actions. It will motivate others to take part in development of Pakistan, otherwise people will remain defensive.

I love Balochistan, If i ever had given a choice to select a city of livelihood, then my choice is any where in Balochistan, may be Quetta. It was more peaceful than Sindh & Punjab, we made it like that and we have to undo our bad deeds, Balochistan is big brother of all the provinces not punjab. We own our big brother, I love Balochistan

Dear ali yar khan although your article served the purpose to express innate and built-in love and desire to uplift the profile of all-time absconder and culprits of nation by very well articulating the emotions and reciting the slogan of brotherhood, love, chastity and gesture, of the most controversial personalities, who in the name of service of the nation elevated their profile from black smith to powerful slab of billionaire but your indulgence in to the process of lifting the image could not curtail you to justify the image in balance and equitable mode .
Ali it reflects a fake gesture when such irrational slogans in the name of harmony and peace are utilized to mask the unearthed reality of in acceptance as nation and community.
It is also unacceptable and irrevocably unfamiliar to show unethical behavior and courteously going beyond the boundaries of etiquettes as elder and younger in the contest of races and nation.
Political frauds, malingering and diplomacy does not revert the ethnic propensity and suffering especially when reservations takes the opinion of sufferings.
Gestures shown on the platform of provincial disposition have built in strategy as showbiz and exhibitionism.
Such attitude of false parentage is always perceived as image of reality and not reality.
Presentation of gift and incentive can not reverse what has been given place as resident reservations.
Denial of facts and figures is the precursors of what our nation is facing in all fields as myth.
It is the superficial elegance of, gesturing remuneration, with unlovable upcoming and owning, as the remnant, which is a fearful element of complaining attitude, as grievances.
Out of 60 years of history, continuous neglected survival with pashing the people in the hands of lords are the factors that still dominates as belief of the people over belonging of state ,in balochistan.
The root cause of such suffering is still considered to be the provincial dominancy of Punjab, in this piece of so called love bravery and peace.
Such reservation have been pinned and buried by the same insane lords of the ring, known for their insanity to discard love and living and inept, illiteracy to hold and demolish institutions, and bravery to kill and similarly killed, some times for a piece of land and sometimes on theft.
Billions of royalty and millions as being previous lords are paid to these aggressive stake holders but still in acceptance have been deliberately made as destiny so to malign the state and its different community which is always evident when ever their is a mass move against the resident reservation by expelling only people from dominant province .
Sir it is not like that they have bestow the mines and minerals without being a beneficiary.
