Rip-Off Ourselves

By Ali Yar Khan • Nov 23rd, 2008 • Category: Politics • No Responses

We all are incriminated in the economic rip-off our country. Yes, leaders are corrupt and in Pakistan nobody reached to the assemblies without corruption and if somebody thinks otherwise, then he is the a “shahzada” in himself. We don’t pay taxes, and we are not ready to sacrifice. No lawyer, no doctor, no teacher, no worker and no soldier pays the tax, and the income tax department itself is one of the biggest corruption joint.

This is the manifestation of the collapse of the writ of the state and the collective degradation of the people. Whoever comes and go and rips off the country, the people just enjoy it. We relish it to tell the tales of Zardari’s corruption and everybody enjoys it, and we don’t for a moment think that such a person is our president and owner of our destiny as a nation.

We need to improve the tax culture of the country. We need to make the people aware of their responsibilities in terms of their financial national responsibilities. We need, above all, to change the way we elect our leaders. We need to change ourselves.
