Reason Why PPP has Attacked MQM
By Maria Sultan • Nov 28th, 2009 • Category: Politics • 4 CommentsThree weeks have passed since the quaid of MQM Altaf Hussain gave President Zardari a shocker of his life by ditching him in the middle of desert with no water or shelter from the ghosts of NRO. NRO beneficiaries named by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in its list created a massive storm, magnified by the media frenzy, and MQM acted like they never heard of the name of NRO in their lives.
But even then at the time when PPP backtracked and didn’t tabled the NRO in the parliament just because MQM disappointed them, PPP stalwarts didn’t criticize the MQM. Things remain uneasily cosy between the MQM and PPP and PPP didn’t even utter a single statement as MQM basked in the NRO-denial glory.
Then why after three weeks, all of a sudden this volcano has erupted? President Asif Ali Zardari’s best friend, Sindh Home Minister Dr Zulfiqar Mirza pounced on the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) with calculations and after instructions from the presidency.
The 28th Novemeber is here, and this is the day when the NRO expires and the cases are about to be re-opened and things are going to be very tough for the PPP leadership. The very reason why PPP is so angry at MQM is because they just want to kick in heavy dust to divert the attention of people from NRO.

I think the reason for Dr. Zulfiqar Mirza press conference is to put pressure on Supreme Court. This is in continuation of the statement from NAB prosecutor general who said a week ago that cases which were pardoned under NRO can not be opened until supreme court orders.
The real reason is Zulfiqar Mirza wants to divert the attention from what he and PPP is doing in Sindh.
Zulfiqar Mirza is recruiting Criminals in Karachi Police on the orders of famous Rehman Dacoit and a list of criminals who are recruited in police on the orders of Zulfiqar Mirza are just published .
