PTCL DSL and Smart TV: Curse for Pakistan

You will weep, you will repent and you will commit suicide in misery and frustration. It’s so bad, it’s so evil, there aren’t any words left in the dictionary to describe PTCL’s hell.
Their DSL is a shame and curse. It remains unavailable often and when it is available it’s like a creep. The help line is rogue and extremely incomptenet and uncooperative. They make you hold for 25 to 30 minutes and after that they just ask you to wait for 24 or 36 hours, and after 36 hours they will tell you to contact your local exchange and you kmow the lazy and good-for-nothing PTCL local exchange men.
One word for you: Don’t Use PTCL, ever.

i have been using ptcl dsl for as long as i remember and it is superb . I had some connection problems once but i contacted the local exchange and the service was good with line man attending the same day . Dsl is always through PTCL exchange so if u think about any other dsl operater they cannot get the line fixed sooner than Ptcl .Better change u connector or cable from the splitter if u have some problem with speed , look for error alarm on the dsl modem , no need to call helpline just complain in the exchange.
Yah, I’d second hope. My PTCL rocks too. It’s the best value for money. I guess there is some issue with your life or something.
I happen to agree with this comment. My experience with PTCl was very lacluster and their customer support was so bad that I was forced to terminate my connection from them. I used some others but in the end LinkdotNet was my choice. I’m gladly using it now and keep their free dial-up as backup. Everyone can get it @ 13131313 with ldn as username and password!!
Yes PTCL is the worst in providing customer services. If they fire all their lazy staff and employ the fresh graduates, the things may improve. The old staff is hooled on “RISHWAT”
PTCL…. I had some connection problems on the 5th day when i got my DSL installed from Ptcl, I contacted the local exchange and the service was worst. Every single CSO thinks of the problem differently. No doubt Dsl is always through PTCL exchange but still, regardless of my unlimited calls, they never came to fix my connection. so i moved to another service provider.

If someone still wants to use PTCL then read my experience with exchange staff since 2th april - 4th may.
Not just misbehaving but a nice way to get rid of clients so exchange staff can take rest whole day. (CENTRAL EXCHANGE - GPO Lahore)

Ptcl’s helpline cant do anything if you dont have any technical knowledge about computers. I have been using ptcl dsl for about 2 years now. Not once has there been any problems with it. Of course my neighbor who also got dsl is always complaining about ptcl as his dsl is not working at all or working too slow. But thats because he is dumb and doesn’t know shit about computers.

I have been using ptcl dsl and smart tv since dec. 2008. My experience with ptcl is superb. I am absolutely satisfied with their service except in the first week of connection. I got some syncing problems and they took more than a week to fix it. They work with normal pace of govt. departments. Its kind of their second nature, cant be changed and cant be avoided. But once its up and running, it is giving world class service.
I have been using ptcl dsl connection for eight months . in the start i had ordered for 1mb speed, later on i decided to change it to 2mb but when i changed it to 2mb nothing has been changed in my internet it means that i am facing the same speed that is 1mb while i am paying for 2mb . So is this the rule?? it is not good . i m requesting ptcl to give accurate speeds to its customers . thanks
PTCL DSL is a bad service….n u r right m repenting n cryin in frustration…even there customer service is not very professional … they dont know what to do to deal with the situation. they put ur call on hold n then forget about it.

PTCL is simply pathetic………I have ordered for the smart Tv ,now four months have passed already and yet to get the service …….and receiving the bills regularly……..well i would say a highly un-professional attitude……….
After four months my order has been cancelled by the exchange……..with no reasons……what the hell????????
same is the case with DSL if working ok ……once had some issue no body bothers to rectify ….poor customer service….
i thnk tht ptcl is superbbbbbb….my father is director of ptcl and i knw tht ptcl is the best..the people who insulted ptcl are all jealous…

I opted for the 2 Mb package and at night it will take a hell lot of time to load a simple 2 minutes video on youtube , it’s not just today , it happens every bloody day and when it comes down to customer service OH MY GOD !!!!!
I have been complaining about my speed problem since the 18th of june and today is 23rd of November , no one ever bothered to fix it .
You know what , now i have started shouting on the CSR’s when i call on 1218 .
You are lucky if they put you on hold for half an hour or so
In my case , i have to hold on for 2 -3 hours .

This is my first month with PTCL 2Mb broadband service…It’s totally corrupt service…I am planning to
terminate it as its downlloading speed is 0.51Mb which should be included in the Guiness Book Of World Records for the worst ever speed on 2Mb connection….Extremely Poor ISP..
