“Salmaan Taseer was nominated for the post of Governor of Punjab by the coalition government of PPP, PML-N, ANP and JUI-F to replace the incumbent Lt. Gen. (retd) Khalid Maqbool”

We should note here is PML-N did not endorse the appointment of Salman Taseer; infact they publically protested against his appointment by the Gen Musharaf and the endorsement of PPP.
