Salmaan Taseer began his business career by successfully setting up two chartered accountancy and management consultancy firms KPMG, United Arab Emirates and 
Taseer Hadi Khalid and Co, Pakistan.
In 1994, he established First Capital Securities Corporation Limited (FCSC), a full service brokerage house, with equity participation by Smith Barney, part of Travelers group and HG Asia based in Hong Kong. Since then he has been actively involved in establishing other companies in the financial services sector as well as the telecommunications, media, insurance and real estate development sectors in Pakistan.
Under Taseer’s leadership, the First Capital/Worldcall Group has grown remarkably and the group presently operates in the areas of telecommunication, technology, retail and property development, financial services, and print and media businesses with global footprint. Taseer also owns the Daily Times newspaper, Business Plus TV channel, Pace shopping malls and Hyatt hotel range in Pakistan.
Taseer has vast experience of specialization in merger and acquisitions, flotation, investment banking and stock market analysis and also delivered presentations on various financial issues. He has also been an author of a number of articles on Investment and Financial subjects.
He is currently also serving as a member of the Board of Export Promotion Bureau of Pakistan and on the board of USF (Universal Service Fund) Company Limited.
Salmaan Taseer was selected as the Federal Minister for Industries, Production and Special Initiatives in the Caretaker setup under PM Muhammad Mian Soomro for four months in the winter of 2007-2008. On 15 May 2008, Salmaan Taseer was nominated for the post of Governor of Punjab by the coalition government of PPP, PML-N, ANP and JUI-F to replace the incumbent Lt. Gen. (retd) Khalid Maqbool.[2]
He has also written a political biography on Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.

We should note here is PML-N did not endorse the appointment of Salman Taseer; infact they publically protested against his appointment by the Gen Musharaf and the endorsement of PPP.

Point of Yaseen Ch should be noted that Drunkards are not allowed to drive a car, and in pakistan the drunkard is chosen to drive a whole state. I mean what is the criteria in pakistan to choose a president or governor? They search for drunkard? But then there are too many in upper layer. Then they see if his wife is drunkard too? If his daughter swim with men, dance with boys and pose for photo session in semi nude? Whose son is busy in partying with women? Who dont know that presidency or governorship is not for dance, party, and kissing other amrici ambassadors . Who don’t know the purpose of it is to make sure that no person remain thirsty for water and education, hungry, without shelter. no one remains jobless.
In one sentence, do they search for a person who will make peoples life more miserable, encourage people to dance, party and convert to christian culture, and their daughters to slut around with setting up an example his own daughter and son?
Pakistani people can only get respect by following ISLAM. Choose to fear ALLAH, and all people will fear you. High commnad of Right wing Hindu organization respect Moulana Masood Azahar and his comrades for their sacrifices and their stance and their love for DEEN.
