PPP’s Dubai Summer Fiesta

The diversion of Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani’s plane from Kuala Lumpur to Dubai, instead of landing at Islamabad after attending the D-8 Summit, cost the national exchequer more than 10 million rupees for PPP’s Dubai summer fiesta.
Gilani and his 40-member delegation, which also included one member from the opposition and five businessmen, had left the country on July 7 to attend the Summit. More than 50 security personnel and bureaucrats had gone to Kuala Lumpur in advance.
The team was to land back in Islamabad. However, the plane was diverted to the UAE, where Gilani and some other PPP leaders were to attend a party meeting. The flight diversion cost the government a total of Rs1.6 million in terms of aviation, fuel and some other charges. Besides this, keeping in view the summer, which is a season of travelling, the extra use of plane cost the PIA over Rs5 million.
After reaching Dubai, bureaucrats and members of the delegation were accommodated in the luxurious Grand Hyatt Hotel and Move-n-Pick, one of the most expensive hotels in the world. 40 rooms were reserved in the Grand Hyatt Hotel besides the rooms reserved in the other hotel. Those members of the delegation who were not part of the PPP meeting remained stuck to their room as a tour of Dubai was not scheduled.
It is very unfortunate that our rulers are enjoying stays in luxury hotels at a time when the nation is suffering from its worst-ever crisis. PPP has learnt nothing from its past and in present situation this party can’t even say that we are given votes for providing “Roti, Kapra aur Makkan” instead of “restoration of Judiciary”. PPP is simply hiding behind bushes and not seems serious to address national issues on priority, and it proves that if there will be no check and balance from an independent institution (free and fair Judiciary), these rulers can not be controlled with iron hands.

other expenses shall be met by raising petrol / cng prices and as far as PIA is concerned, PIA authorities shall raise air fair for upcoming hajj and local flights also raise the perks and priviliges of its higher authorities. Like wise WAPDA is increasing its unit price to cover-up the tours of its minister using helicopter.
It was right to go Dubai if he is having a wheat deal on cheaper rates from there?
Well, we the pakistan produce more “wheat” than entire continet of Africa and equals that of South America, yet we need to go around running and signing on for cheaper wheats!!!!!!!
Never have i seen a man take care of her mother in law as Zardari sb. is doing. Maybe its just to counter the buildup being witnessed at the Fatima Bhutto and Sassi Bhutto front. For the PPP loyalists still believe that it was Shahnawaz Bhutto who was to take on the torch of Bhutto after his death and that BB was just forced into it. And they also do believe that it is time for the Bhutto family to step in.
Whatever the case everything seems too vague.
Atleast PM was not made to go to Dubai after having arrived that very same day like our Law Minister Farooq Naek. who came from London in the morning and had to go to Dubai for his “guru” had called him in the afternoon.
The way things seem to be happening around, I being no consipracy theorits am tempted to believe that their was some internal hand involvedin BB’s assasination. The likes of Rehman Malik and Zardari.
A former FIA head a man with nothing in portfolio related to Economincs gets a special invitation to join in ECC.( Economic Cordination Comittee) I am referring to Rehman Malik., He sits in all the PPP negotiations. Yet he was the one claiming that BB was alive when Amin Fahim was weeping in front of crowd and telling them that they had lost their leader. Strange na!!!!!!!!!
All these Dubai chalou!!!!! expenses are being paid by Govt kitty and the reassons are created as:
PM had gone to Dubai to condole with UAE’s Amir over his brother’s death.
Well, let us sit in front of our PC’s with Keyboards in our laps and condemn them for their actions………for after 10 years another NRO puld be promulugated to spare them of their misries for their actions committed after year 2008.
A local court of Lahore issued non-bailable warrants for the arrests of 11 persons including the former chief minister, Chaudhry Pervez Elahi and chief secretary Punjab Salman Siddiqui.
According to details, those victims of 2005 earthquake who were brought to Mao Hospital also included a girl who leveled allegations against Dr. Maqsood Hussain of criminal assault.
Upon this, the then government lodged a case against Dr. Maqsood. However, no charge could be established in the court after the case was heard.
Later, Dr. Maqsood filed a petition for lodging a case against 11 persons including the then chief minister and chief secretary of Punjab. The court summoned these people but they had failed to present themselves before the court.
Now the court has issued non-bailable warrants for arrest of these 11 persons.
