Political Kerfuffle after Ramadan and Eid
By Sameer Shaharyar • Oct 5th, 2008 • Category: Politics • (3,942 views) • 5 CommentsIt’s always traditional that politics freezes down in the month of Ramadan and then some tremors happen afterwards just to shudder up the still sleepy people out of their siestas. It is expected that after Ramadan and Eid, action will start again.
Though during this Ramandan and even on Eid, the action was never away but it wasn’t on the political front, rather it was the evil of terrorism which roared with its many heads at many locations and haunted the nation during the Taraweeh and Eid prayers.
Besides of Zardari’s yearning to take Sarah Palin, the stunning beauty from Alaska running for the Veep of USA, there is nothing much to discuss about the politics during Ramadan in the Pakistan, but now as the lawyers are once again dusting their coats, and PML(N) quickly rising to the feet to play the real politiks, things would be interesting in the coming days.

Sameer, that was good.

Are you kidding?
PML_N do something……they don’t have the courage. If NS cannot see that AZ has reduced our country to a laughing stock with people like Karzai telling us how to manage our affairs, drones are ruling our airspace, and most of all if NS was still in any doubt, Naek(legal mouth piece of AZ) keeps reminding us at every opportunity that Dogar is the Chief Justice of Pakistan. So what happened to Honourable Iftikhar Chaudhary.
Nawaz Sharif do something or step down, go to London, walk around in Hyde Park, do some shopping in Harrods, watch cricket at Lords, in other words enjoy your retirement.

Well, I do think that Nawaz Sharif is the only one right now to do anything for the country, but his attitude is disappointing. He is perhaps biding his time, but thats not the way to do so.

PPP is not in majority..in other words a motion of no confidence, pick any reason, restoration of an independent judiciary is a good one, muster enough votes, and there you have it ..new elections..
and even if you lose the vote , at least you will wake the other MNA’s up and let the world know that we have democracy and are not afraid to exercise it.
But do something, Nawaz Sharif show us that you are leader material

Hi Sameer and all other commentators,
You hate your President who is a democratically elected man and may be having a past as Mr.10%. Because You cannot openly demand for Musharaff to come back or Kiyani to take over, suddenly you have to flog a dead horse “Ifthiqar choudhry”.
You cannot think why a determined attempt is being made to kill Afsandar Wali Khan and his son Hota but will raise any issue to beat Zardari with.
Admit that Zaradari may be corrupt(got out throrugh NRO courtesy Musharaff) but HE IS A DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED PRESIDENT. do not paste him with rising prices, terrorism and all other ills plaguing your country.
If you have guts ask Saudies why they have banned their nationals from visiting your country?
