Pervaiz Elahi, Hamid Gul, Ejaz Shah Really Tried to Kill Benazir?

By Salman Mugsi • Oct 18th, 2008 • Category: Politics • 9 Comments •

Former ISI chief Lt Gen (retd) Hameed Gul, Former chief of the Intelligence Bureau (IB), Brigadier (R) Syed Ejaz Shah, and former chief minister of Punjab Chaudhary Pervez Ellahi were named by Benazir Bhutto behind the Karsaz Blasts in Karachi in which she escaped barely. At that time the name of former chief minister Sindh Dr. Arbab Ghulam Rahim was also being taken but now he has been cleared off it, though he has suffered a lot in interior Sindh.

All three of them who have been named in the FIR just registered don’t really match up. They all have their own opposite directions and they have never been cordial with each other, and lately they have been well placed in the opposite camps. General Hamid Gul has always remained adversary of General Musharraf of whom Brigadier Ejaz Shah is a close crony, while Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi was just risen the national politics due to the blessings of Musharraf, and wasn’t much liked by the Ejaz Shah and had nothing to do with General Gul.

An independent investigation must be carried out in this case. Because whoever did the Karsaz blasts was more than likely behind the assassination of Benazir Bhutto in Rawalpindi.

    Thanks buddy

  4. In all three characters ,one thing is common here it is notorious ISI.Ch pervaiz had received fully support from ISI in last elections. I wish Gen zameer tried to awaken his Zameer and nation would know how ISI helped this chaudry group to behave like mafia in gujrat district. In last elections they were complete in contact with ISI middle management but Kyani last minute dismissal of two ISI colonel had shaken their winning platform, even then they had double crossed by some colonel whom were receiving surely monetary benefits from these goofs.
Now Brig imtiaz was ISI chief of sind at hat specified time and before elections he was sent to Austraila on his personal request. Now nobody knows about his whereabouts.
Gen gul is ex ISI chief and has strong links with taliban people as he is the mother of such fanatic groups in our peaceful mountains. In 1980s his role was same as now gen durrani and gen shujja are performing these days.It is to forced US policy on our poor people.
Who ever is the real culprit but it is obvious that this porridge was somehow cooked in ISI headquarter.

I had a similar problem - which is not quite solved yet. But I found that the xorg.conf ( /etc/X11/xorg.conf) had been changed and no longer recognised my graphics card.

I found that by bringing back the old xorg.conf, and reducing the resolution to 800×600 (and possibly to a `vesa` as well) I could at least get a screen up. It is still not perfect, but there are a number of threads around relating to the graphics update messing up - and this work around worked for me (although I would like to get my old graphics quality back - hopefully soon).

Send “I Shot The Sheriff” Ringtone to Cell Phone
I shot the sheriff, but I didn’t shoot no deputy
    Oh, no, oh
I shot the sheriff, but I didn’t shoot no deputy
    Ooh, ooh, ooh Yeah

    All around in my hometown
They’re tryin’ to track me down, yeah
They say they want to bring me in guilty
For the killing of a deputy, for the life of a deputy
But I say, oh, now, now…

Oh, I shot the sheriff, but I swear it was in self defense
    Ooh, ooh, ooh
I said, I shot the sheriff, Oh Lord
And they say it is a capital offense
    Ooh, ooh, ooh
    Hear this

Sheriff John Brown always hated me
    For what I don’t know
    Ev’ry time I plant a seed
He said, “Kill it before it grows.”
He said, “Kill them before they grow.”

    And so, oh, now, now,
    Read it in the news

I shot the sheriff, but I swear it was in self defense
    Ooh, ooh, ooh
    Where was the deputy?
I said I shot the sheriff but I swear it was in self defense

Freedom came my way one day
And I started out of town, yeah!
All of a sudden I saw Sheriff John Brown
    Aiming to shoot me down
So I shot, I shot, I shot him down
And I say, if I am guilty I will pay

I shot the sheriff, but I say, but I didn’t shoot no deputy
    Ooh, no, oh
I shot the sheriff, but I didn’t shoot no deputy
    Ooo, ooo, ooh

I, I shot the sheriff, but I didn’t shoot the deputy, no

  7. @Nazia Ur information is completely wrong and misguiding. How u r so sure abt the dismissal of any ISI or Army Colonel when u dont know that the person u r referring to as Brig. Imtiaz is actually Brig. (Retired) Ejaz Shah who was IB Chief not ISI. So first sort out ur own facts and then try to claim Big….!

  8. Asim
Brig imtiaz was ISI chief in Sind at the time of 12 may and then 18 oct .his name was the first to blame at the time of such horrific incidents in the history of Pakistan. The name of ISI was replaced by IB to secure the ISI from criticism from Indian side and also Mussaharf was also blamed by US personals as misusing this organization for creating terror of Talibanisation.IB chief at that moment was stationed atLahore and couldnt influence in karachi politics as did brig Imtiaz here. This was confirm reports that Kiyani had taken serious actions against some ISI cols in Dec 2007.No body knows that he had taken this step to protect ISI from US anger or really he wanted to help zardari group to secure some seats from gujrat district.
If some how we believe that ex IB chief was involved in this mess then why shoib suddle a present chief cant do any kind of homework for trapping that man in the hands of law and PPP only restricted
their actions for such trivial formalities like FIR.

  9. Asim,
Nazia is right. I can’t explain more than this but what ever she wrote in first comment is totally correct and the news is valid.

Asim, people are quite updated, who are concerned about Pakistan and its future. We should appreciate such people, like Nazia, who spares time and shares valid information with us.
