Sindh’s interior minister Zulfiqar Mirza is a man on mission. He has to prove to his master in the president house that he and his wife deserved the high slots in the governments. It’s time of pay back for the Mirza and he is at it with full fury and ferocity.

Zulfiqar Mirza has come hard upon the MQM. Though he has quite rightly pointed out that the biggest beneficiaries of the NRO were the MQM and it’s ridiculous that they are now distancing themselves from the NRO and pointing fingers at the others. This false-angelic approach by MQM is not new, but the timing of Zulfiqar Mirza is very meaningful.

MQM is an opportunist party, always salivating for the power and they are involved in extoration, street crimes and the target killings in Karachi and they did the massacre on 12th May, when chief justice Iftikhar Chaudhry landed in Karachi and they suppoted the dictator Musharraf through and through. All that is irrefutable, and Zulfiqar Mirza is spot on.

But then why did he suddenly come to remember all that now? It has all been there all along? Now we know what meant by Zardari when he coined the term “Political Actors”?
