Pakistanis Be Prepared For American Attack

By Brig. (r) Junaid Zaman • Sep 5th, 2008 • Category: Politics, Worth A Second Look • 22 Comments •

Have you seen the footages of American marines breaking into the homes of Iraqi people, dragging the ladies and children out and killing their men in the heads and then taking away the ladies while leaving children behind? Is there any need to refresh your memory with the pictures of Abu-Gharib, or would you like to once again hear the stories about Guantanamo Bay? During the Musharraf era, thousands of flights were made from Jacobabad city of Pakistan by the US war planes which minced the Afghan people and killed hundred of thousands of them.

The blood thirst of US forces hasn’t appeased yet and they are asking for “MORE”, and in their madness they have inaugurated their attack on the Pakistani soil. They have started from the Angor Adda, Waziristan, and they would not stop there. Scores of American soldiers came in four CH-47 Chinook transport helicopters, blasted their way into several houses and gunned down men they found there. All who died were civilians busy in preparing the Sehri, the start of the next fast. The causalities included women, children and men. When the other people reached there, they found all of them dead outside their homes with scores of bullets in their heads.

The response henceforth from the Pakistani establishment and political rulers is dismal and pathetic and yes to be honest, its downright washy. The army’s spokesman, Maj. Gen. Athar Abbas, said the attack was the first incursion onto Pakistani soil by troops from the foreign forces that ousted Afghanistan’s hard-line Taliban regime after the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. He said the attack would undermine Pakistan’s efforts to isolate Islamic extremists and could threaten NATO’s major supply lines. And that’s it.

If we are in any confusion, then we must know that the Pentagon has made it clear that operations like Ango Adda could occur again and again and it’s the sign of a changed policy. It means that now United States wouldn’t be sharing any actionable intelligence with the Pakistani forces and wait for action from Pakistani forces, rather they would act and operate at their own in the Pakistani areas. They would infiltrate in FATA, then would surely “chase” militants to the Swat in one direction and Kohat from the other direction and in essence the would be advancing towards Islamabad from two directions.

From all signs it is pretty much clear that now America has forgotten Iraq and Afghanistan for all the practical purposes and they are all set to start a surge in Pakistan. Attacking Iran was never an option, Pakistan was and is. American elections are just round the corner, and even Sarah Palin has failed to reinvigorate the GOP campaign. There only option remains the October Surprise and it has started from the Angor Adda.

  1. Expect nothing less. Though I doubt that the forces will come into Islamabad as you state. They will remain the FATA region and all this has been agreed by the Pakistani military and present new leadership in Islamabad.

The “October Surprise” is real, and innocent lives will be sacrificed in the name of fighting terrorism.

  2. dr alshaer,

Your comments remind of “DILLEE DOOR HAI”, and what else can we do? when our polical parties and our Army is for rent.

  3. brigadier sahib.a very genuinely written article .god bless you for your efforts.regards

  4. I dare repeating it here that there should be No grievous emotional concern of killing in South Waziristan and there is no need to run the high rate flow of adrenaline down the streams of our blood vessels; Feeling Extremely sorry for the tragic loss of lives of women and kids in Jalal khel-(Musa Nika); but this killing is all as per an agreed plan of Pakistan with NATO Forces.

Last week, Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, held a secret meeting with Pakistani Gen. Ashfaq Kayani aboard a U.S. aircraft carrier in the Indian Ocean (possibly near the naval base in the Island of Diego Garcia owned by British) in the wake of several devastating setbacks for Western and Afghan forces in Afghanistan.
Among others it was also attended by Gen. David D. McKiernan, NATO’s top commander in Afghanistan. Main agenda was the threat to coalition forces in Afghanistan emanating from insurgents operating inside Pakistan’s borders.

It is said that the meeting also touched on a possible agreement to allow U.S. Special Forces to begin ground operations in Pakistan’s tribal areas. This has also been reported that major operation is planed and soon US lead NATO forces will be carrying out the major sweeping offensive in the area.

While our own forces are already on mopping up operation to cleans the land of the miscreants and to some extent our Armed Forces had the support of local population as the area was being cleared of foreign miscreants. But NATO attacks are certainly counter productive and it will jeopardize the situation totally.

Taliban activist finding them selves trapped in the FATA area will certainly go for soft targets and hit by suicide bombing in the settled area inside Pakistan as retaliation. They will also like to hit back the armed forces of NATO as well as Pak Army operating in FATA and in return will attract more NATO and Pak Army hot pursuit in settled areas. This generation of retaliatory chain action will result in the dragging the war into settled cities and towns engulfing the whole Pakistan.

Previously Musharraf used to be scolded that dictator is abetting the US but there was no physical attacks except occasional drone surveillances and some guided missile attacks and now this?
Yes; there is always a difference between a dictator Proxy and democratically elected one.

  5. Timely wakeup call, but anybody listening??

  6. They are simply after our nukes. I don’t think it’s about October Surprise, because Obama-Biden ticket is confirmed, and Republicans know that.

  7. US has been allowed by the current gov to operate within 6 miles of Pakistani borders. Let’s see how much bucks we get in lieu of that.

  8. “I dare repeating it here that there should be No grievous emotional concern of killing in South Waziristan and there is no need to run the high rate flow of adrenaline down the streams of our blood vessels;”

Amazing double standards! If this was the life of someone then you and others would be crying. No wonder we do not hear outpouring of protests. It does not surprise me the least, to read statements like this from the people of Ahmadiyya Jamaat.

    Shame on you!

  9. Dr. Sabeehuddin,

Do not discount McCain-Palin just yet. A lot can transpire in the coming months before Nov elections. My bet is on McCain as the next President.

  10. The problem is that the U.S media doesn’t report real facts, and certainly never provides context.

The reports I’ve heard from the U.S mainstream media via the internet refer to “another strike against the Taliban on the Afghanistan/Pakistan border.” This leads to 3 faulty assumptions by listeners:
    1) the “strike” was an air raid, a bombing run, or a predator drone attack - all from the air (which in many Americans’ minds is more palpable than boots on the ground).
    2) the attack was against the Taliban - not civilians - so any women & children caught in the “crossfire” were either helping the Taliban or, more likely, were used by the Taliban as shields, and therefore, the Taliban are responsible for their deaths, not the Americans.
    3) The attack was on the “border,” which conveniently leaves open the question of “which side of the border.” Most Americans assume it must have been on the Afghan side, which is justified in many eyes.

Without real knowledge or information, people are helpless to change. When the media starts reporting facts, people will be empowered.

  11. Wil Robinson

American media is in the influence of Isreal, so FOX and other channel only report what the policy says.

  12. @ dr. alshaer

“it does not surprise me the least, to read statements like this from the people of Ahmadiyya Jamaat.”

You are a stupid d**khead who is bigoted. if you think that people from a certain caste or in this case sect are predisposed to make assumptions/comments of a particular kind, then you and the rest of our sad country deserve to have hordes of american troops come in and wipe us out. there are only two ways of getting rid of a jaahil qaum like ours - either through education, or through extermination.

guess the first choice has failed.

  13. @ karachi khatmal (what a wonderful bigoted name),

Thank you for the wonderful comments. I should expect nothing less from your pathetic mind.

    Kindest regards

  14. Brigadier saheb,
From the days of its founding ;the Pakistan nation has been in the pay of USA. The Pakistani army has been a mercenary army killing either the enemies of USA/Saudi arabia(remeber September killing of PALESTINIANS in Jordan),to providing security to Saudi kings from his subjects and ofcourse killing its own subjects if suited the Paymasters as in the case of Dacca or Kashmir. The attempt on gillani is linked to this attack by americans. Pakistani army has to offer the head of Osama /zawahari before nove 2008 or i expect assassination of Zardari and takeover by Kiyani.
Nukes or Pakistan and India are the ultimate goal

  15. Dear Dr Alshaer,

You raised few points at another thread of mine at “Deterrence is the Answer” and we have discussed at length there. You your self opted to Quit the discussion.

That is all now ‘done and dusted’ under that thread.

For the sake of decency, please do not pollute all the other threads.

  16. (Abstract from rocking speech of notion as nation , by Son of the Land)

All right!“So what if whole of West Pakistan falls”?

“So what if we are obliterated”?

“We will build a new Pakistan”.

“We will build a better Pakistan”.

“We will build a greater Pakistan”.

“You know! You have come to a point when we will say’

    “Do what you like”.

“If before you have come to this point we could have made a commitment.”

“We could have said, all right! We are prepared to do something”.

    Now! “Why should we”?

“You want to silence us by guns”?

    “Silence our voice by arms”?

“So why should we say we are agreeing to any thing”?

“Now you decide what you like”.

“Your decision will not be a binding on us”.

“You can decide what you like”.

“You can do because, if you had left us a margin of hope, we might have been a party to some settlement”.

“I find it disgraceful to my person and to my country to remain here a moment longer than necessary”.

    Impose!!! Impose! “Any decision”

“Have a treaty more than treaty of Versailles”

    “Legalize aggression”

    “Legalize occupation”

“Legalize every thing that has been illegal

“I will not be a party to it”

“We will fight; we will go back and fight”

    “My country beckons for me”

  18. A Khokar,

    Quoting you:

“For the sake of decency, please do not pollute all the other threads.”

I wanted to demonstrate of how you and many others here use slogans in reference to others but when it came down to a statement in reference to the Ahmadis, people react differently. You advocate love to all and hatred to none, but have the audacity to write this:

“I dare repeating it here that there should be No grievous emotional concern of killing in South Waziristan and there is no need to run the high rate flow of adrenaline down the streams of our blood vessels; Feeling Extremely sorry for the tragic loss of lives of women and kids in Jalal khel-(Musa Nika); but this killing is all as per an agreed plan of Pakistan with NATO Forces”

Interesting of how there should be “No grievous emotional concern of killing” and I should expect nothing less from a man that advocates “love for all and hatred for none”. This is why I even made the reference to your Ahmadi community and not due to my own “bigotry” as I have been accused of.

Yes, we know now how people with dubious intentions react.

  19. Farid Masood–

I don’t think it’s as simple as “American media is in the influence of Israel.” Blaming Israel for everything does little to solve the conflict at hand. Simply saying that US media is influenced by Israel doesn’t provide sufficient motive.

The bigger picture is that the military-industrial complex DOES have a motive in continuing and escalating conflict around the world. The Israel-US-media conspiracy theory is only a scapegoat. Someone like VP Cheney, who has experience and contacts within multi-national giants like Halliburton, has a direct financial interest in creating war. And in the end, money is the ultimate motivator.

Follow the money, and you find the reason. Israel has nothing to gain monetarily by instigating wars or perpetuating misinformation in the American media.

  20. And MORE they shall get!

  22. Alsalam-o-Alaykum
In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

Let us clear with one thing that America is now targeting Pakistan and it is also clear that PAKISTAN’S ARMY IS NO LONGER AN ARMY FOR PAKISTAN, IT IS AN ARMY OF USA.

    BECAUSE

Where ever there is an attack on Pakistani Soil our Military Heads give statement. I don’t think that they should give statements. ARMY SHOULD SPEAK THROUGH THERE ACTIONS. If Pakistan Army cannot Protect us for USA Attacks then I think that we should rise For PAKISTAN and eliminate those who are Attacking Pakistan. If we do not do so then We are their slaves and our Minds have already accepted this.

You should remember that our elders gave lives for Pakistan and Now Its Time to save Pakistan.
    Rise, Fight and Save Pakistan.

    Naveed Khan
