Pakistani Public Wants Friendship with America

The prevalent notion that Pakistani people are dead against United States of America and they want to see Americans perished and they want to fight against the USA, and that they want to see America bankrupt, and they support Al Qaeda against America is extremely false and baseless and a far cry from the reality.

The truth is that heavy majority of Pakistanis are really impressed by the America. Just go to any city, town or village in Pakistan, and you would see jeans, soft drinks, fast food, American music, movies and most the people are interested in the American politics and economy. Majority of youth wants to go to America for study and for jobs. Pakistanis do think that America shouldn’t wage war anywhere and get it’s way through dialogue, but they don’t want to fight with the Americans.

In the so-called war against terror, more than 1200 Pakistanis have died in the suicide attacks and bomb blasts planted by the terrorists from FATA, and 69 Pakistanis have died in the Americans attack in North Waziristan. But media portrays that the anger of Pakistanis is more towards Americans than the terrorists.

America has to win the hearts of Pakistani public, who already adore her. As our president Zardari wants to hug Sarah Palin, Pakistanis want to hug the Americans.
