Pakistani Politics in Vicious Cycle

By Sameer Shaharyar • May 10th, 2008 • Category: Politics • One Response •

Nawaz Sharif was right when he said on 19th February, the very next day of routing PML-Q of Musharraf that the flowers of this mandate won’t blossom if Pervez Musharraf remains in the power seat of camp office.

In this little span of time after 18th February, look at the political scenario in Pakistan and it’s clear that the forces of status quo are pushing PPP fast towards that ignominious place where once PML-Q was roosting. The nexus between Asif Ali Zardari and Pervez Musharraf is an open secret now, and their secret meetings with dates and venues are known to everyone in the corridors of Islamabad.

When Bhurban Declaration was announced, Pervez Musharraf was in little agony, but then it was Rehman Malik who met with Musharraf and assured him on behalf of Zardari that it was just a political maneuver to get the government in formation and to gain more time to make the nation frustrate regarding the judges issue.  Now at one side Zardari is trying to buy more time from PML-N and his aides are weaving different tapestries of intrigue in connivance with the presidential camp.

What’s stopping PPP to formulate present policies and programs to ease the sufferings of nation regarding load shedding and price hike? Who has tied up their hands? They are just showing inactivity on this issue to project an image that due to the PML-N’s stubbornness on judges issue, other issues are not getting their attention. If this government cannot act simultaneously then they are the worst bunch if idiots on this planet.

  1. It is very difficult to digest the restoration of judiciary through coersion.
What Nawaz (NS) is presently upto is mere coersion, for a dramatized movement by non else but Aitezaz Ahsan a third grade,
corrupt politician. He was thrown out of the interior ministry for incompetence by non else but Benazir Bhutto herself.
Nawaz Sharif is now his financier for the movement which he cannot pursue now.
Nawaz Sharif has already been asked by Cowasjee to put pound sterling brains inside his head instead of putting it on his bald head.
He can never come out of his vengeful politics that, our people so cherishingly admire through the kind courtesy of Star Plus type politics.
As Prime Minister, he lacked the courage of calling then General Pervez Musharaff to his office and telling him that he has lost confidence and good
working relationship with him, therefore ask for his resignation. Instead, like a coward, Nawaz Sharif chose to hjack his plane. He could not bear
the prison therefore again he arranged a deal. How can a coward take stand on important national matters. During Kargil he ran to Clinton
and most ignobly asked for mercy. How can you expect such a cowardly person to run the country. He has no other quality other than the money that, he has acquired through illegal means.
More to come after my friends who have just arrived leaves.
