Pakistan without a Finance Minister

By Ali Yar Khan • Mar 5th, 2010 • Category: Politics • 6 Comments

Pakistan’s Economy is among the worst economies in the world. Shaukat Tarin, the former finance minister has resigned at last. It was known for some months that Tarin was going out. His clashes and differences from rest of the cabinet and the premier was known to everybody. For the last six or so months, everybody knew that Tarin would quit sooner or later.

Government had ample time to find, evaluate and appoint a new finance minister. But like other things, government delayed the matter and now as Shaukat Tarin is no more, government is still dumb about this very important issue. Once again premier Yousuf Raza Gilani and President Zardari are at loggerheads on this appointment. Gilani wants his man, but his boss wants his man, and Pakistan’s economy cries.

We are such an unfortunate nation.

  1. Dr. Ishratul Ibad might be a good choice.

  2. We dont need a Finance Minsiter. We need a Imdad Minister who will beg for us from everywhere. I think we can appoint specialised Imdad Ministers for US, Saudi, China.

Bikh mangte mangte sadiyan guzar gayi aise,
Kudari aur geirat se jeena mushkil ho gaya ho jaise.

  4. what we really need is 1 huge DANDA for each and every politician so that we can shove it up their A’s … i seriously dont get why people vote for people like PPP or PML-N or Qaf or any other BS party including the molvi parties … the molvis are hypocrites cause every person who has studied Islam knows that u cant support democracy cause it is a kaffir system rule but then we all know that the MOLVI parties support democracy….

We need to change the stupid Sharia law of 1400 years ago that is killing us from within.

How come Allah is so kind to Christians and Jews? Because they have changed and are no longer cutting off heads and limbs as they did during the inquistion.
When all you do is beg you do not need a finance minister. Always Smiling MR.Z is good at begging.

Pakistan needs to revive its economy by repealing Hadood ordinance, putting all Mullahs and corrupt leadership behind bars
Let us legalize Alcohol and revive our music and film industry.
De weaponise the entire country and simply eliminated those that refuse to hand over their arms.

  6. Tina,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,”Let us legalize Alcohol and revive our music and film industry” Alchohol is legalize in Pakistan, if you are non Muslim you do get a permit unless you are looking to legalize in the sense of let it flow freely in the market? Music and Film are already legal if you are talking about movies to show off your extra pounds on top and bottom. We must respect all the Mullah’s but if they are trying to do Politics under the Umbrella of Islam then yes we need to take care of those whose Zabaan says one thing and they practice something else.
