Pakistan Politics
By Ali Yar Khan • Apr 6th, 2008 • Category: Politics • No Responses •In Pakistan, if you see from the start without going in the minor details, you will see that all kinds of governments have come and gone, and Pakistan looks like a laboratory of political experiments rather than a stable practical ground.
Instead of learning from the centuries old democracies and mature societies and stable civilizations, we are hell bent on re-inventing the wheel, and to add insult to the injuries we are repeating the same mistakes again and again.
A vicious cycle is in which we have got ourselves in, and we seem to be incapable of getting out of it. Is the fault lies with our judgment or is it some sort of curse? Whether it’s the dictatorship or it’s the democracy, we seem to be ill-at-ease with every mode of governance.
What do we exactly want?
