Pakistan: Not a Cake Walk for US

After Afghan war, Taliban were the crippled and destitute force. They needed resuscitation and a help. US came up with that help. They were attracted to the US bate of ‘fallacy and deception’ and were the first to fell prey to this snare.
Al Qaeda of Taliban was blown up into a Myth of Terror which later took a shape of ideology and thus a full fledge global war on terrorism hatched. Those were the days and here we are today; —- From Middle East to Pakistan; all the countries are under the siege and in the clutches of the savage oppressor who is on its rampage; who knows well that “Savagery and violence can only be concealed by a lie, and the lie can only be maintained by violence.” says Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn a Russian Novelist. It is another anniversary time of 9/11 and we see that all the colours of the rainbow of glory hanging above the horizons of Washington DC and New York are the colours drawn from the spillage of the blood of Muslims of Middle East, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Having secured the foot hold in Iraq and turning it as subsidiary luna state of US; oppressor is finally preparing to land in for the ultimate anchorage—Pakistan; to turn this land into hers formidable base to complete his hegemonic aims and be able to check the new emerging powers; China and India as well to see Russian confined in their own four walls.. How best the country like Pakistan shows their wisdom and zeal to deter the enemy depends; how potent they hold them selves together and stand brave and united in the face of tyranny.
US only move in the lands which offer them a cake walk.

Guys, I have just been watching CNN and i was really angry and annoyed to see the show “World News Europe” where when they mentioning Pakistan, the flag displayed on the left on the screen did not had the white bar.
Keeping in mind that white part represents the non-muslim community this is a serious issue that need world wide visibility.
Any lawyers in here? What are the chances of taking CNN to court?

An excellent write up. However, I tend to disagree with you when you say : US only move in the lands which offer them a cake walk.
Iraq and Afghanistan certainly didn’t prove to be a cake walk for America. On the other hand Pakistan may well prove to be a cake walk for them by virtue of their better advance planning and our internal discord. In the case of Pakistan they first installed a government of their choice before moving in. In the case of Iraq and Afghanistan they first moved in and then installed a government of their choice. Beside Iraq and Afghanistan were not hooked on American dole out as we are. Iraquis and Afghanis started fighting among themselves after Americans moved in. We have been fighting among ourselves much before they moved in. These seem to be big differences between the situation in Iraq and Afghanistan on one hand and Pakistan on the other.

I am surprised that at a time when another country is planning to disfigure our geographical boundries you are worried about the disfigurement (perhaps a mistake) of our national flag by CNN. For last some decades, under the clever, coercive western policies in Middle East, the natives and local dictator rulers of these Countries have been fully emasculated and successfully castrated. Whole Middle East is supposed to be doing a tip, toe dance on the tunes of —USA. Most of these Middle Eastern countries are now fixed up into some kind of bondage with US government. Iran is found to be the only one odd out and a last obstacle stuck in the way.
Iran is surrounded by Iraq and Afghanistan. Both these countries are blazing in US war and are being turned into some invincible, western strong holds. The persistent defiance of Iran is proving to be a night mare. Against all the odds and strangled into cruellest sanctions imposed to make Iran to concede to US terms, Iran resolve to up hold its integrity and its perpetual has made the well sought US Imperialistic dreams withering out. Possibly there can’t be any walk over in Iran even by any strong force. Iran has just been spared pending covert operations/ plans and we see that US is seen, by passing them and are now enforcing Afghanistan. Reportedly millions of dollars are being pelted inside Iran especially in Iranian Baluchistan area to stage a revolt and have a regime change in the centre.
The previous track record of US invasion of Iraq shows that US lead forces did not advance into Iraq till chief UN weapon inspector, Dr Hans Blix categorically made it clear that there were no WMDs and that there was a little resistance of scud medium range missile in Iraq.
History shows that Western forces warrior are the conqueror of non-resistant, depleted, and forsaken lands; –but they easily get bodged down, like mighty Israeli army in the face of determination and resilience shown by, even a very weak and negligible resistance like Hezbollah in south Lebanon war or we find that how Us is weary of Taliban who are showing their vehement resistance against occupation and are up against US/NATO forces in Afghanistan.
IN CASE OF PAKISTAN; it is seen that US has learnt some good lessons from her previous follies. FATA situation is a complex situ for Pakistan. This area is since known as non-regular governed area; the area is now gone wild and is out of Pakistan’s controls for all practical purposes. In the area with such like situs where our Army is also conducting military operations to achieve the writ of Government; principally the sovereignty claim of Pakistan seems withered. Under this plea US is exploiting the situation by conducting Drone attacks as well as air borne raids in side FATA where miscreant are found actively up against Pakistan as well US forces. US may take the advantage of fluid situation and this will be her endeavour to secure a US wedge inside FATA for future exploitation before this that Pak Army is able to achieve a complete writ of government in the area.
With the US Presidential Elections in sight and Bush heading for his exit ; US is desperately looking for one world; Victory. With the help of the local abettors; US is finding one in FATA.
Taliban and Al Qaeda they claimed to be the ‘Men of God’ and serving the cause of Islam. What ever they have been doing in the past; but their history and their conduct shows that they are up to securing some good domain for them selves a safe havens and a sanctuary to fulfill illicit designs of their businesses of Narcotics, the contraband arms smuggling and their rapacious greed for wealth. These are the pictures on its display coming out from their camps.
But be ware: Our God is a unique GOD. You put up a claim of your nearness to God; God will certainly test you. The time has turned round. Here the fortress of Islam—Pakistan; its sovereignty is at stake. The Pakistan stands as vulnerable; made by them and there is Oppressor the Tyrant US ready with its conquest to come in and grab Pakistan. To which side they will tip now… just in few days we will come to know.
Or tomorrow we may find the head lines; the elites of Al Qaeda moved out to some Sub Sahara desert areas and Taliban given the seats in Afghanistan National Assembly.

Earlier this former Democratic presidential contender, Dennis Kucinich,is reported to have called for the impeachment of George W Bush claiming that the president set out to deceive the nation, and violated his oath of office with the Iraq war.
He is also reported saying that George W Bush calculated and wide-ranging strategy” to deceive citizens and Congress into believing that Iraq posed an imminent threat to the United States.
In his campaign; he went on to say that Bush and Cheney lied to Congress and the American public about the reasons for invading Iraq in 2003 and abused their offices in order to conduct the “War on Terror” following the 9/11 attacks.
Other people have been praising him in the these words; “We’ve waited seven years to find one Member of Congress brave enough to stand up for our Constitution, for which generations of Americans have fought and died.” And ““We are thrilled and honored that Dennis Kucinich has chosen to be that one genuine patriot.
And now his statement regarding Pakistan; this all is but the usual rhetoric, a ‘WAR of Reasons’ and verbosity.
On ground what Pakistan has to do is that; ensure the writ of government in FATA; and who so ever violate the sovereign our borders. Drones or Missile or any intrusion of airborne raiding force of US Seals Commandos must be blasted off the sky.
Our Enemy hovering around our western border knows only one language; Languaage of Force.

Yes, we have to save our country by hook or crook. Alas, our government started giving statements like PM said, “We can take up the matter of unilateral strikes in Pakistan at diplomatic level, but cannot wage war,”. These kind of weak statements basically encourages other to move forward.
if you remember in past, Pakistan escaped war with India by just giving strong statements and testing couple of missiles each time. We should not show ourself as weak nation or country.
We are Muslims and it is my firm believe that Pakistan will play pivotal role in the final war of the world. Where Jews will try to raid on Makkah and Madeena. No worries and I am ready to give my life for the country. I mean it and will do it if country will desperately need us.

I have a request for you. Can you write on “Different Options Available to Pakistan, in case of USA Attack” for the readers and our discussion. I am unable to spare time so as a good writer of Politics and current affairs, you can easily do it.
In my view, they are
1- Stopping Supply line of Ammunition from Karachi-Kyber Road.
2- Bringing all FATA people on one board to defend our country (Not Taliban).
3- Foreign visits and increasing world pressure.
4- Immediate hiring of new Army force to defend both side borders.
5- Launching Missile System on west borders and East border at a time.
6- Showing threat of Atomic War in the region.
7- Joining Afghan Refugees living in Pakistan as one force to war against USA.
These are like brain storming but you can easily write on them. So we all readers can savour from your nice writings on such critical issues. You will find few point very foolish but in brain storming, some time foolish point hits on the target.

Do you mind sir explaining the mythical statement on the basis of actual ground realities as I have the impression and suggestion as well, that assumption should be based on facts and figures as statistical analysis especially when things require minimal errors?
Under the rule of reservation and query, I have right to have your opinion before I say, as mine.
Khokar you know it very well, that the problem with our nation is that they still believe on the power of stick as weapon.
Reactions under the siege of such peaks as war and terror are always reflected as perhaps every thing would be slaughtered or vanished when people will come out with their extreme of emotional instability and the menace would run away when exposed to such a thunder storm of hubbub and hullabaloo.
Sir! Though I agree with you over the “policy of myth and deception” but would definitely outweigh you on the issue of perhaps framing Taliban’s as some deceptive or imaginary force.

This is also not an evaluated and reachable agreement that before 9/11 perhaps alqaida was crippled and destitute force and was later being driven in to the frame of terror.
NO! What took as a birth from the womb of individual, is by law and ethic, the mother of the same.
However consensual mating of many resulted in the progeny.
Though the mother was who gave the birth but mating partners and places of enjoyment were many and is difficult now to frame the charge on some one as father and the place of first sex.
Sir since every body enjoyed the soul therefore every one is now being blamed for the event in the contest of enjoyment.

Since we being Muslim were not familiar with the motive behind were again put in to emotional slogan as “Jihad fi sabil illah”.

As always , you have given a long list of points to explain. It is week end and you want to sit me by the computer. Any how for friend like you… no problem!
Dr Raza, you wanted to know that that how the Taliban were blown up into a mega monster of Terrorism. For this we have to go back a bit. We know that after the Afghan war; Afghanistan fell in the hands of warlords which have started indulging in atrocious and greedy actions of looting, extortion of monies and abductions of girl and boys specially in southern Afghanistan. It was in Kandahar that Taliban emerged to put the life in order on religious grounds and with in a short span of time they were in Kabul less the northern area till Ahmed shah Masood of Northern Alliance was killed and Taliban started seeing down fall in governance. By then they had restrained their relations with USA on a pipeline deal as well as with their prime benefactor Saudi Arabia.
This is the time that that Neocons were ready to hatch their new Century American plans and the old magic wand of Jihad which was able to muster thousands of Mujahideen for Afghan war and now they had joined the Taliban forces were labelled as Terrorist for Taliban orthodoxy in governance; their brutal treatment of women, execution of death penalty by stoning, smashing of Buddhist statues at Bamyan etc.
There came the time of 9/11and Al Qaeda of Taliban was blamed for this self inflicted US wound. With the view to exploit the situ and explode it into Terrorism; and in order to get the harshest possible retaliation from the Taliban; havoc was unleashed in Afghanistan by extensive aerial bombardment. All the old set up of Mujahedeen, from their abundant training camps, to the dens, to the supply routes depot along Pak-Afghan borders that they still existed in Skelton form were indicted in the 9/11 blame.
To escape the destruction and aerial atrocities the old mujahedeen and Taliban fled their country and obviously their first choices of shelters were those old camps and madrassah in Pakistan. Pakistan was also called into service on heavy price. This is how Taliban as well as Al-Qaida was blown up into the monstor Terrorist and Pakistan declared as epicentre of terrorism.
We had about 7 years at our disposal; we were well aware of it that this US Monster will soon be knocking at our doors. The current perilous situ in FATA is evident that we failed to push that epicentre out and back in Afghanistan.
CAKEWALK
When you are able to dilute the armed resistance, your armed forces are disgraced on ground and their moral touches the bottom low. Defences melt away and conditions are made so pulp that there remains no solid resistance on the way in of enemy forces…. that is called a cake walk. As we have seen in Iraq that all the elite forces of Iraq were reduced to pieces on their way back from Kuwait. The thin defences in the ripples of sandy deserts were so densely bombarded and the defence in the depth till Baghdad were so precisely engaged by the Missile strikes that when the Ground forces moved in there was literally no resistance. Simply they moved into Baghdad from Kuwait on a track run.
We have got the clever oppressor who knows our psyche very well. I hope we don’t fell prey to his vicious plans. Our only strength is in our unity- united we stand and split we fall.

I am impressed by the effort you have put in analysing the prevalent situation. It goes without saying that : ‘Our only strength is in our unity- united we stand and split we fall.’ However, I feel it is easier said than done.
I am not a political or defence analysit by any stretch of imagination. However, some time back I had felt that prima facie America’s excuse to remain in this region is to fight Al qaida. They feel that Alqaeda is a direct threat to their security. We also claim that we are doing our best to eliminate Alqaida from within our borders. It is believed that sanctuaries of Alqaida are in the geneal area around the Pak Afghan border. The problem is that America does not trust Pakistan and wants it to do more to eliminate Alqaed from this area and stop the cross border attacks by Taliban.
I think a solution to this problem can be to wage a war against Alqaeda and Taliban in this region by the joint forces of Pakistan, America and Afghanistan. This will eliminate the bickering that has been going on between these three countries. No body will be able to blame the other for poor performance or the failure of this mission. The region for the joint operation can be mutually determined before hand. It can be like say 10 to 20 miles on each side of the border all along it. This may help us to get America off our backs.

Your proposals are worth pondering upon and in the given situation at the face of it; you may think of any thing to squander the initiative off from the enemy and hamper his capabilities by disrupting his supply line etc but Saleem you know our enemy is a super power and US happen to be very smart.
First and far most is that in Afghanistan there are two types of foreign forces; Operation Enduring Freedom - Afghanistan, which is a joint U.S. and Afghan operation, with some involvement from other nations. This force is a separate from the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF), which is an operation of NATO nations including the U.S. The two operations run in parallel. Both the forces have got the united Nation sanctions to operate in Afghanistan on the given programme. The International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) is an international stabilization force authorized by the United Nations Security Council on December 20, 2001.
Pakistan being the part of UNO has been asked to provide maintain the logistic line and suppose to assist in providing the transportation and ensure a safe logistic routes. Pakistan may not be able to hinder or stop the movement of supplies through its territory.
What Pakistan could do; is establish her writ in all parts of the country. It will be absurd to call FATA a lawless land; we have to take accounts of the situ and under all the circumstances there can’t be said that; we are breeding some traitors in our own home land and working against the interests of our own homeland. Any one found working against the home land is suppose to be lead no where; except to the Gallows.
Its pity; Pakistan is the only country in the world which knowing breeds its own traitors and no one dare calling them the traitors.
After attainment of complete writ; any intruder is the enemy. Any one casting a bad eye, be dealt with the blatant force; In this regard our action must be pre-emptive and not passive or deferred.
I am trying to write the second part of “Sleeping with the Enemy”. I will try to explain that after all why we fell in the trap of enemy so willingly; accept monies to work as proxy. Hopefully; it will be interesting.
Saleem; every one of us we claim that we love our country. Lately I was able to watch at three occasions, on President Oath taking ceremony; when I saw our National Anthem being played but I could not spot a single person who was singing the Anthem including our new President. I can’t imagine in the west; people not respecting their flags and not singing their Anthems.

But sir how does all of a sudden these Taliban gain power from as you mentioned from kandhar under Ahmed shah masood, and later were converted in to a giant monster within a short span till eventually after the death of hero they ditch in to trouble and problems because of their weird slogans .
Sir, war strategy cum future aspects are never designed in as and if basis.
Direction of move is always sorted before departure.

In military, there is a routine slogan as war tactic, so to elevate the spirit and moral of the soldier by endorsing slogans and notions as “well-done” and “yes! “You did it and can do”.
Similarly people before indulging in a real sense conflict, evaluate and assess their capabilities before they can execute the desire as litigation and war.
We some times express our notion as strength and something unusual by extorting people who are in all means compromise as compared to our strength exercises.
This is so to assist and elevate the moral of our responders as force so to enhance their “moraaaaaaaal” and abilities thereby tagging them as more powerful and can do what we want.
This is also a way to express your abilities to other as well, intentionally as Performer respondent.
America is very well aware of the fact that his ground incursion in Pakistan would not prefix them with credentials as warrior because this nation has built-in propensity as gorillas and gringos.
He is aware of the fact that, we are not like Iraqis or Afghanis.

A US Congress panel has demanded for hearing of the Bush Administration’s decision relating to the sale of F-16 aircrafts to Pakistan and blamed Pakistan misusing US anti-terrorist funds for buying weapons, which could only be used against India.
The Congress panel demand for investigations indicated that the program of giving aircrafts to Pakistan would be severely subjected to criticism in the US Congress. New York Democratic Congress Member, Gray Acreman, who heads the international sub-committee on Middle East and South Asia, has demanded the investigations into the sale of aircrafts. It may be recalled that the Democratic Presidential candidate, Barack Obama last week had also blamed Pakistan preparing using anti-terrorist funds against India.
Congress sub-committee will review the program relating to F-16 aircrafts giving to Pakistan besides the committee would also scrutinize as to how Pakistan has utilized US foreign military financing

I am also just a layman and a simple student in the field of current affairs. You have raised a point of Al Qaeda that; supposedly this monster is live and kicking some where in the FATA area along Pak-Afghan borders then why it should not be exterminated for good, even we have to take the help of some foreign forces?
Kabir Das; Al Qaeda is a myth which is made to live. Suppose; to day Al-Qaeda is captured here along with his all Lieutenants; do we really think that US will pack up tomorrow and go back home? Probably not. And if catching Osama was the only aim then why Iraq was captured and what is the fun for turning Iraq into mega US base and creations of US Central Command Head Quarters next door at Ul Hudeid base near Doha Qatar.
Al Qaeda is a lynch pin, a tool specially winged to travel far and wide and is being used to manipulate the targeted societies to engulf them into chaos and anarchy. It is specifically created to advance the wider plans of American Imperialist hegemony made to encroach in the planed area concealed under the covers of a hyperbolic media theme of ‘Global War on Terrorism’.

Thanks for your response. Few weeks back I had proposed the same thing to an American friend of mine with the condition that after a successful combined operation against Al Qaida America will get out of Afghanistan. He agreed with this proposal but not to the condition. He said if America left Afghanistan Al Qaeda will come back again. So you are right in your assessment.

It is worth repeating that while talking about Pak- Afghan border skirmishes we have to understand what are the agreed Rules set for the operation to deal with any untoward situation along Pak –Afghan border.
Reportedly the General understanding and base to set the Standing Order Procedures (SOPs) are;
• In the wake of established facts it is admitted by Pakistan as such that FATA is the area which is infested with the element of Al-Qaeda.
• Al-Qaida dens are available in FATA and these are in use by Al-Qaeda as their sanctuaries and safe haven.
• Al-Qaeda is enforced as well as supported by Tehrik e Taliban Pakistan. The proof is that recently this Tehrik is placed as defunct by Pakistan.
• That Pakistan receives hell of amount from US to clear these sanctuaries and thus is carrying out mop up operations.
• It is agreed that in case the miscreants from FATA go across borders in Afghanistan to carry out Raids or Ambushes they will be dealt with by Pak Army effectively when detected.
• When they are in Afghanistan they will be dealt with and chased by US-NATO forces in a hot pursuit even across PAK-Afghan borders.
• That this hot pursuit may extend into Pakistan territory for 6 Miles.
Keeping in view the above agreed terms; what right of any retaliation is left with Pakistan if US-NATO forces are carrying out any raids, surveillances by Drones or Drone missile attacks as a hot pursuit? Reportedly all these surveillances and raids or attacks are with in agreed 6 Miles line radius.
After evaluating the above scenario; I may not go with any idea of retaliation or declaring a Jihad etc, etc…. or to plung Pak army in confrontation against US-NATO Forces.
Let’s stop bickering about our dire situation in FATA. We have broken it so we ought to fix it. Pakistan must get rid of all the miscreant and traitors; lest this 6 miles radius is extended to 12 miles to 20, 50 and then 100 miles. This exterminator USA need not to go in pitch battle with our Army etc; they will exterminate us on these technical grounds. In their books and our agreements and admissions on ground; any Retaliation will be taken as the terrorist act and to be dealt with under the Universal carved law of Global War on Terrorism.
A Punjabi proverb comes to mind which goes like this: Dahrri phura kay doojay hath; pher kehna; Houleen khicheen.[After you have handed over your beard to others; it will be absurd to expect that they will not pull it harshly]…. Or they say; Hoor Choopo.
Pakistan Army and local tribes on Monday foiled an attempt of US troops to enter inside Pakistan’s territory through two American helicopters.
According to sources, US troops boarded on two helicopters were trying to enter onto Pakistan’s areas near Angoor Adda along Pak-Afghan border when local tribes and troops of Pakistan army resisted the move and opened fire, forcing US helicopters to return.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s authorities haven’t officially confirmed the incident.
