Pakistan Job Market

By Muskan Hina • Nov 21st, 2009 • Category: Politics • 2 Comments

The momentous political developments and the war against terror is taking all the time of media, while the people suffer from the crisis of poverty and joblessness too.

There are simply no jobs in Pakistan. Even in the IT sectory, which is a new technology and there is so-called boom in it, and apparantly there is no impact of the recession over Pakistan’s cash market, there are no jobs. Petty, temporary, and low-paid jobs sometimes pop-up, but there is so much saturation in the country.

No new industry is being setup. No new companies local or foreign are coming into the market and the flow of capital is frozen. Companies are not expanding and the downsizing is the name of the game these days. There exists no specie called as permanent employee in these cut-throat market. No Vacancies has become the signboard of the companies by default.

The most alarming thing is that there is no notice from the government side in this regard. Government has not offered any bailout package to the companies. Government is not setting up any industrial areas, and not doing much to invite the foreign capital. The highly-trained, English-speaking, intelligent and talented human resource of Pakistan is getting wasted on the roads of Karachi, Islamabad, Peshawar, Quetta and Lahore.

  1. what you describe is very real and alarming….and on top of the bad employment situation the rampant inflation is rapidly eating away peoples savings…the job situation is really horrible not only in IT sector but all across the board.

  2. Muskan bittiya, thanx for raising a very important issue ….

Yes it is alarming that the new generation of our nation is gradually being converted into useless individuals …

Like the NRO’s list of beneficiaries, another list should be formed to let the nation know as to who all have their “elite” children sent abroad for education, work and their assets in foreign lands.
