Nominating Altaf Hussain for IIFA Award

We got alert when TV started to telecast a speech with long pauses. I without turning back told my friends that Mr Altaf is on air. But astonished when one of my friend asked me to turn and look he has resigned from the leadership of MQM. While turning I told my friends he is upto some drama again.
After an hour or so I was at home when he took back his words and I could not stop my laugh. Whatever the reason may be if he has to take back his words he must had given some time to re-decide. The reason he stated that he was angry with the party leadership & Raabta Committee as it failed to deliver the safety of citizens of Karachi on 9th April 2008.
My questions are, why he was sleeping on the occasion on 12th May 2007, when Musharraf waved his punch and proudly said we have shown power today in Islamabad & Karachi. That power show killed more and four dozen people on the tour of Chief Justice of Pakistan to Karachi. Where was he when emergency was imposed? Where was he when MQM activists loot people in Karachi? There are may whys and wheres attached to his & his party’s role in Pakistan politcs.

There is no point in pressing the rewind button on Altaf Hussain and his brainless leadership. Many of the educated or saner elements of the so-called “urdu-speaking” Pakistanis – whether abroad or at home also recognize this brain deficit. For them it is a double-whammy.
We must all stand up and speak out against double standards and lack of meritocracy and discrimination against any group or section of Pakistanis. The acceptance of any division based on ethnicity is not only bad for the future of Pakistan but also for the Muslim ummah in general. Pakistan will move forward to a better tomorrow when being Pakistani will supersede any tribal, feudal or ethnic loyalties.

It looks from your article that you are engulfed in the flames of hatred and animosity to Mohajirs. Punjabis has never learnt any lesson from the past especially fall of Dhaka.

NOW IF ANY THING WILL HAPPEN IN KARACHI THEN MQM WORKERS WILL STAND WITH POLICE TO STOP ANY SUCH INCIDENT.
GOOD GO ALTAF HUSSAIN BUT YOU MUST TAKE SOME ACTION AGAINST UR WORKERS WHO WERE IN A STATE OF SLEEPING WHEN THIS INCIDENT WAS TAKING PLACE.

as a one who is born in khi i called my self karachite not MAHAJIR .CUZ I ve never migrated from any where …..this is what v need to know .and this would only be come in our ideas wen we would get educated ..and try to understand the philosophy of these SO CALLED leaders like ASIF ,NAWAZ AND ALTAF OR WALI etc……………larao aor hukumat karo …OLD DOCTRINE BUT STILL WORKING … …think about it ……………if i or u ..gotta know how much dirt in terms of corruption and priveliges these so called parliamentarians getting what would be our feelings ..one day v would stand up and shut them buried ….AND THIS IS WHAT THEY DONT WANT ……….

and i agree with amber. ive also been to govt college with the intention of studying unlike most of the youth but i was disappointed with watever i saw in the college. i won’t mention the name of the college but its a very famous college in karachi. anyways what they do in colleges is harass you, bully you and try to pick up fights with you for no reason really. they all got guns and think they have the right to slap or rob whoever they please.
and those who support them are equally dumb in my opinion. can anybody explain the point of having unions and groups in colleges please?
so basically it all comes down to education. our system is pathetic and something needs to be done about this please. instead of arguing and being stubborn, one should try to realize, understand other’s point of views and reason before you tell them what to write and what not to. people are talking crap here, posting topics related to sex and adultery and no one is bothered about it. and when someone tries to talk sense and bring awareness and telling people to wake UP… we get to listen to ‘don’t do that’ LOL.
people hate him, im a karachite and i really hate him. he has destroyed many familes, is responsible for hundreds of innocent killings, extortion, kidnapping for ransom, encouraging the youth to go for guns instead of pens… for sake of power and position. they call themselves leaders and don’t even know how to talk. such a disgraceful character and personality. anyways god made us all and we’re not supposed to talk about anybody’s looks or whatever, but he’s such an embarassment. i had to take a lot of crap from lahoris when i was there. they all make fun of him 24/7 and told me to go back to altaf bhai and kill people. that is what a sensible, educated pakistani think about your great leader
