No More Defensive Please

The reign of terror, unleashed by handful of militants in South Asia has rendered the vast majority of followers of Islamic faith, as subdued, defensive and remorseful. Being oblivious of the root causes of the ever-expanding militancy in Muslim communities in the world, the non-Muslims continue to theorize the militancy as natural outcome of the religion itself, thus successfully defaming Islam as religion of terror.

Unfortunately all of the literate and saner elements of the Muslim societies voice their concerns, do advise and suggest to shun the violent means to challenge those who commit atrocities against the Muslim like the USA, Israel, India and their cronies — but these voices are not being heard by those few who have wilfully opted to live like nomads of medieval ages even in this age of information technology. Consequently we are teaching those who are already taught thus moving in a cycle.

Without having even a remote sympathy for those who kill innocent citizens, irrespective of their state or religious affiliation, the issue to ponder for the dominant civilizations of the world is; Without having any capability to sponsor terrorism, without any design to precipitate war against any other country, why any Muslim country will invite trouble by sponsoring terrorism at state level. The obvious fact is that in last two decades, the loss endured by the Muslim societies by the hands of extremists is colossal as compared to that of the non-Muslims.

In the wake of Mombai terror attacks, Indians arrogance towards Pakistan is deplorable because when Pakistan herself is unable to wipe out the terrorists in its own state, how can it boost of having controlling power over non-state actors? Pakistan itself is victim of terror and in the process, it has buried thousands of countrymen, with and without uniform, including one the most talented and experienced political leader, Benazir Bhutto. We do not underestimate intelligence of Indian leadership. Their hue and cry is to achieve multiple targets. India is surely aware of state of affairs in Pakistan. It very clearly understands causes and effects of turbulence in its neighbourhood.

Having more than a dozen consulates near Pakistani border in Afghanistan, being “well-aware” of the unrest in Balochistan and Karachi, India wants to utilize the Nov 26 events to extract the following benefits out of this mayhem.

1. By alleging Pakistan, India wants to prove to the rest of the world it is innocent when the issue of its brutal treatment to minorities, especially the Muslims are addressed by the world powers albeit remotely.

2. In recent past, for the first time in history, many amongst the Indian public started thinking India ‘without Kashmir’ by raising questions about sustained hostilities, enormous financial costs and perennial enmity vis-à-vis Pakistan. In an effort to ignite ‘nationalist’ passions amongst its people, to camouflage its brutalities in Occupied Kashmir, India will make every possible effort to defame Pakistan so that it can continue its illegal and unjustified occupation of Kashmir and unabated bloodbath.

3. By pointing finger to Pakistan even before the Indian commandos reached from their Chandigarh barracks to the bleeding spots in Mombai, India wanted to impress the administration-in-waiting of the USA regarding the rogue ness of the state of Pakistan. The world expects a lot from president-elect Barack Obama who is being termed as ‘prophet of change’. The clever Indian move to blame Pakistan aimed at further exasperating already tense Pak-US relations as it may dissuade Obama’s administration to tread on some non-conventional policies and planning regarding the issue of ‘war-on-terror’ and Pakistan’s role therein.

4. When the general elections at a distance of only five months, Manmohan Singh’s Government seized the opportunity to hoodwink electorate by covering its own mismanagement and silencing the Indian people who have been getting overly critical of the role of their security agencies. Even with the support from western projectionists, India knows its lunar-years away from being a ‘super-power’ as its internal conflicts, its non-coherent society, vast majority of the poor and cosmetic configuration of its state will hardly yield concrete results to achieve targets of economic growth and military prowess.

Two nuclear powers cannot afford escalation of hostilities. It is imperative for the Pakistani leadership to stop being apologetic and unduly humble towards the cunning Indian leadership. Diplomatic efforts especially talks with leaders of the world is fine but India should not be allowed to ride on our nerves unjustifiably.

  1. Naeem, You have totally misunderstood what the Indian government is saying. No one in India says that Pakistan government is involved in the Mumbai terror conspiracy.
You are correct in asking when Pakistan herself is unable to wipe out the terrorists in its own state, how can it boost of having controlling power over non-state actors?
What Indians generally believe is that the Mumbai terrorism was done by some terrorist groups in Pakistan and hence they want Pakistan government to try to action against such groups.

  2. No wonder Pakistan doesn’t prosper..thanks to intelligent mullahs like you!! What an analysis you made. Wait until your balls get nailed by bullets by your own country men!!

  3. Dasa
did you see any kind of little episode of such kind of terror acts in our side that has captured India and whole world for more than 80 hrs,Not a single type of such scenes were ever seen in last 5 years and we are facing worst terror attacks but nothing like that. Some siege like that were done in backward areas of swat but as soon some law enforcing agencies reached their the dirty, tribal men local people called them jungali l men, run away from scene..Some kidnapping and killing of army men were done on our tribal belt where writ of govt is almost negligible. In our big cities we faced terrorism by suicidal bombing done by some deprived characters of our society and most of time common men were hit by such mode of terrorism.Even in marriot bombing a five star hotel in heart of Islamabad no important govt officials were targeted, poor people like employees of hotel and drivers were victims of this attack. In India, it was almost mini replica of 911, as target the important and most modern city of India then influential and strong groups were made hit by this high profile terrorism. At this time you dont believe us but time will surely prove that this type of attack couldnt be done without internal help who were supplying arms and communication to those commandos.Lets see how your investigation agencies find its clues but I am sure you have many kurkurays like officers who can dig this mystery soon.

  4. I wished comments from Indian readers might have been in decent language like those of Dasa.

Disagreeing is fine but what can I say to Jonam, only that my dear, we are already in trouble by the hands of such terrorists, much more than any other country in the world.

Did not you read my sentence….”The obvious fact is that in last two decades, the loss endured by the Muslim societies by the hands of extremists is colossal as compared to that of the non-Muslims.”…

TPS is a place where we can discuss, express our ideas, deny some, forward counter-argument. And I shall appreciate if any of respectable Indian writer can prove with his/her arguments something more plausible that my viewpoint is wrong.

I enjoyed having name of “intelligent Mullah”… :)

  5. But let me ask you Jonam… If somebody is intelligent, can he really be “Mullah”…. Or let us put it in another way, can a ‘Mullah’ be intelligent?

It is paradoxical situation. Is’nt it?

So you tell me, am I ‘Mullah’ or ‘Intelligent’? At a time, I can be one, not both. Do you agree?

  6. Read this ARTICLE BY IRFAN HUSSAIN…………..

    http://www.dawn.com/weekly/mazdak/mazdak.htm

    few stanzas i wanna quote………….

“”””””Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, a prominent (and very loud) minister under both Nawaz Sharif and Musharraf, openly boasted on TV of running a camp for Kashmiri fighters on his own land just outside Rawalpindi a few years ago. If such camps can be set up a few miles from army headquarters, what’s to stop them from operating in remote areas?””””””

“””””Often, the truth is painful, but most Pakistanis refuse to see it. Instead of confronting reality, we are in a permanent state of denial. This ostrich-like posture has made things even worse”””””””

ITS TIME PAKISTAN PAYS FOR ITS SINS……………

  7. former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright under BILL CLINTON

“My own sense is Pakistan has everything that gives you an INTERNATIONAL MIGRAINE. It has nuclear weapons, it has terrorism, extremists, corruption, very poor and it’s in a location that’s really, really important to us. And now this issue with India. So, I think that the current president and the current secretary of state, who’s on her way to India right now, have a very big job ahead of them,” said .

she is wrong………..pakistan is a huge PAIN IN THE ASS for the world community…………
Every terror attack originates for PAKISTAN……….be it 9/11,london bombings or the CREATION OF TALIBAN……………..

  8. Dear Dasa,

please look at the facts how come the top 3 officials of ATS were killed ? if i am not mistaken, i have heard the hemanat karekar the ATS chief was shot in the back, like some close to him shot him from behind

a popular view in pakistan is that the entire attack was a cover to wipe out ATS team which was investigating the samjotha express and malegoan blasts, and some indian army officers might be involved

please teach some manners to rajiv also,

  9. Sajid Bhai, Rajiv cannot learn manners cuz senseless people hardly can.
Now coming to Dasa, you have very easily framed that ” No one in India says that Pakistan government is involved in the Mumbai terror conspiracy ” looks so easy na . You people act so innocently as if you dont even know what Roti is and you call it chochi. Dont you have hardliners, seperatists and terrosist groups. Why isnt the truth acceptable to Indian People.

  10. “”"Dont you have hardliners, seperatists and terrosist groups.”"”

    >>>>>MR SALEEM
    yeah u are SPOT ON.

But NO INDIAN GROUP has the capability of such an act…………….All terror groups within india ONLY USES LAND MINES AND COUNTRY MADE ARMS………or maybe an odd grenades……….BUT NEVER AK-47 ASSULT RIFLES……………….

by the way HEMANT KARKARE was shot in the chest………………….

    >>>>>>MR.Muhammad Ali Sajjad

BJP is currently in the OPPOSITION……………..and i guess u understand ARMED FORCES ARE CONTROLLED BY THE GOVERNMENT……….NOT OPPOSITION……………

FBI is also investigating………..now DONT CALL IT A BJP ORGANISATION…………..

  11. >>>>>>>>MR.Muhammad Ali Sajjad

“”"”"”"a popular view in pakistan is that the entire attack was a cover to wipe out ATS team which was investigating the samjotha express and malegoan blasts, and some indian army officers might be involved”"”"”"”"

CONSPIRACY THEORY MAKING is a pakistani pastime………………we all know that.

“a popular view in pakistan” is that TALIBANS ARE NOW INDIAN AGENTS…………am i not right??????how stupid is this??????a day will come when freedom fighters on KASHMIR will also become indian agents……………lol……….

SELF-DECEPTION is a DANGEROUS THING…………dont fool urself by these conspiracy theorists…………..

Its better if u guys FOLLOW WHAT IRFAN HUSSAIN SAYS……………..

“””””Often, the truth is painful, but most Pakistanis refuse to see it. Instead of confronting reality, we are in a permanent state of denial. This ostrich-like posture has made things even worse”””””””

  12. dear rajiv
    please read the folllowing report

    http://www.rediff.com/news/2008/dec/05mumterror-where-were-the-killers-hiding.htm

it shows the killers of hemant karekar knew that he world pass from that road it says

“The murderous duo is reported to have opened fire on the unsuspecting police team, which did not even have the time to draw their weapons”

this is something only an insider could have informed the killers

call it a theory if you like BUT this is something you cannot ignore the above link is from rediff.com now PLEASE dont claim that rediff people are also biased and are churning out CONSPIRACY THEORIES against india

you see this the problem with majority of indians they think that every pakistani/muslim is a terrorist and the indians have a heart of gold who cannot , never ever commit a crime

rajiv do you deny that indian army officers were under investigation for malegaon blasts?

RAJIV PLEASE DO NOT BELIVE ME DO NOT BELIVE ANYONE

JUST FOR A MOMENT USE YOUR LOGICS AND NOT YOUR MEDIA”S,

THINK “WHO WOULD BENEFIT THE MOST FROM HEMANAT KAREKAR’S DEATH?
WHO COULD HAVE KNOWN FOR SURE EXACTLY WHICH ROAD WAS KAREKAR PASSING FROM THAT FATEFULL NIGHT?

please dont say the GPS or google earth gave the killers this information

  13. Guys just one question to all the Pakistanis, you are aware that there are terror camps all across Pakistan, even in Kashmir. Then why cant the government stop them and destroy all the camps rather than closing them?

In the first Kashmir war fought between India and Pakistan, then King of Kashmir handed over Kashmir to India and made it part of India, then how come India has occupied it illegally?

Even if India has occupied it illegally the war is between India and Kashmir state, why is Pakistan coming in between? On one in Kashmir has come to Pakistan during the first war fought for help.

It was Pakistan and its tribal people attacked Kashmir first, India was not even close to it.

  14. We have been debating on these issues , can any one please explain me in detail with logic that who could be benefited by these attacks ? Who who and who , surely Pakistan has nothing to gain out of this, instead it condemns , we all condemn , it should be condemned . Who is to benefit , what are the goals. I fail to understand.
