By Mian Usman • Nov 24th, 2009 • Category: Politics, Worth A Second Look • 4 CommentsWould I be able to live to see my kids grown up? Would the struggling and suffering of our people come to an end? How long would they use our religion to safe guard their vested goals? How long innocent people will vanish as victims of terrorism and lawlessness? Is President ship, ministries and NRO bigger issues than providing food and shelter to the struggling people of Pakistan? Who would make us feel safe when we go out or send our kids to school or out side for playing?
People need basic necessities, It does not really matter to them that the food and water they get is from certain sect of Muslims here, or in the form of foreign aid, poverty often let people to come in a state of mind where they cant differentiate between right and wrong, good or evil and it becomes difficult for them to follow religious and social norms and they could reach extremes to change their fate of long time suffering. This situation often lands them to the dens of enemies of the state and religion and they fell prey to their evils plans resulting in brain washing innocent people to commit suicide bombing and performing target killings as well.
We have a list of people who are beneficiaries of NRO? Do we have a list of people who can not buy a decent meal even at this coming Eid ul Duha? Do we have a complete list of homeless children that live their life on the streets of major cities and towns? Do we know that a person next door might need our financial and moral support to make arrangements for her marriage in a decent manner? Who keeps the record of forced labour in interior Punjab and Sindh who work like animals to help us in achieving a target of a self sufficient country in terms of food?
All we care about is list of bomb victims, what about the living dead who are far below the poverty level in terms living? We care about list of accusations made by politicians on each other, what about the list of homeless orphans and widows after during the war on terror? How many girls are burnt alive after marriage for dowry and how many killed using other ways? How many working women experience sexual harassment and struggle to save their honor and grace?
For Godness sake, lets focus on core issues and forget the rest, Is any political party can focus on above? Is any so called religious party has given a solution to any of the problems highlighted above? Forget it they will not bother, some would use Anti-American slogan to reach the realms of Kingdom or power, some would accuse each other to hold the reigns of power, some would promise justice, some would promise jobs and some would promise food and shelter but the fact remains the suffering of ordinary Pakistani will continue unless and untill we all start working hard individually and as a Nation for a big revolution and stop looking for solutions for our problems with mean politicians or abroad.

Writing poetry and articles is one my favorite passtimes. I write truth openly in a straight forward manner and dont believe in an indirect hinting towards the truth. Am an ordinary man with an extra ordinary wish to see peace, harmony, justice and equality for common man before I die. For that I have decided to write my inner thoughts on the day to day sufferings around us. Silence can not solve any problem it rather increases it. My struggle will end with me. Am grateful TPS to provide me an opportunity to join a group of very talented writers from whome am learning a lot. Am not a man of letters so you would find my expression not as good as my seasoned and experienced partners who regularly write, my focus is primarily on the message in my articles and TPS is helping me to convey it to a lot of people.

The media can help us fight terrorism by being optimistic in the fact on how we have been able to have a successful operation in Swat instead of focusing on the list of NRO beneficiaries. There should be solutions discussed on media on how to fight terrorism as a nation. The political issues raised are something which are not as important for a normal citizen.
I personally like this blog. There is no guarantee that we will see another 20 years cuz life has become so cheap in our country. You go out in the market to buy sumthin and there is no guarantee that you will return. I think the media here can play a good role here by conveying positive and tolerant messages around the country. This will affect the mindset of the people and definitely the youth who is very dissapoited in this situation. A recent survey shows that almost 80% youth is sad and thinks that Pakistan is not going in the rite direction.
this whole scenario reminds me the statement of Hazrat Umer Farooq (R.A) in which he accepted to be responsible if a dog dies at the bank of river which flow far away from the capital of Islamic State.
Hazrat Umar said that he felt responsible, not that he accepted responsibility.
