New Threat
By Dawar Naqvi • Aug 8th, 2008 • Category: Politics • 2 Comments •Racism is so universal in this country, so widespread and deepseated, that it is invisible because it is so normal. The emotional, sexual, and psychological stereotyping of females begins when the doctor says: It’s a girl. On August 4th ‘In the valley of Swat militants burn down five girls schools’ and ‘Girls school in Quetta attacked’.
Due to the Army operation in Northern part of Pakistan these militants are migrating to the Karachi. So far in Karachi Women freely work in the offices. Women have respect in this city. Many women representatives seat in the assemblies from this city. Now this recent move of Taliban to this city could change scenario. I am afraid once again Taliban will destroy peace in this city.
Recently In an interview to a foreign radio, Spokesman Taliban said “Karachi is a focal point for the whole world including India. The presence of Taliban in Karachi will ensure elimination of vulgarity, obscenity and influence of foreign forces in the city.”
If Taliban will successful to control this city will open many doors for Taliban to generate money. It will also help Taliban to develop connections in India and Abu Dubai. I urged government needs to take a hard stand on this and put priority providing security to ensure that people of Karachi will save from militants.

On the threats of Talibanization in Karachi its Consequences, one of fallouts that you have mentioned that is fall of Karachi to Taliban would also be a dangerous potential for the stability & security of Mumbai, Bahrain, Qattar, Oman, UAE etc, is a well made out point.
