Student replied: 52 yrs

Teacher: well done how did you estimate?

Student: Sir my brother is certified by the doctor as half mad and he is 26 yrs old.

Why I have written this joke, actually the advertisement on the TV Channels of the only party PML(Q) are like that, the ads say such things as follows:

If you need that the fields remain greenish with crops, if you need an educated nation, etc etc then vote for PML(Q).

Our simple nation does not know the actual source of funds when a village is given electrical connection or by how the funds are given for the polio vaccine campaigns etc etc. The credit goes to the minister/MNA/MPA of that area where electrical connection has been given or to the government in case of vaccination.

Here I write down the nation’s mandate from the next ruling party or a combination of parties:

1) Reduction in Inflation from the current figure to below 4% by year 2010.

2) Reduction in government expenses by 5% per annum for the
next five years.

3) Ban on Import of new elite cars for next 5 years for government use.

4) Chalk out new projects of national interest within one year and then check financial and technical feasibility with in next one year.

5) Stop privatization of profit earning businesses owned by government like steel mills, PSO etc.

6) Removal of bottlenecks in such business which can be made profitable like PIA etc.

7) Re-instatement of Judiciary at October 1999 status with the authorities of post 20th July 2007 status.

No open discussion on nuclear issue and re-instatement of Dr Abdul Qadeer to a respected state as per desires of the nation.

9) Amendment in Rules to prevent and punish acts like October 1999 by any army chief.

10) No new cars be purchased for the MNAs and MPA for next 5 years.

11) Forces officers of general ranks should be limited to one staff car not above 1600 CC.

12) No false reporting on national financial matters.

13) State Bank role in the economy to be strengthen for reduction in interest rates on banks loans / earnings.

14) NAB either to be closed or its functions to be made transparent in the national interest, if it could not be done so then closure of such department is inevitable.

15) Growers to be facilitated so that agri-business remains profitable for them and role of middle-man to be eliminated.

16) Government should start to own the export of man-power so that better rates/wages are offered to workmen force.

17) Any politician changing the party after being given party ticket or being elected should be banned from participating next
elections.

18) Awarding portfolios to the persons after elections having relevant qualification and emple experience in respective field.

19) Any other important point I leave on the readers.
