My Ray of Hope
By M. Waqas (MPA) • Aug 8th, 2008 • Category: Politics • 10 Comments •I totally agree with Muskan about the crises of leadership. I am not pessimist regarding the future of Pakistan and share with all of you that how as a nation we can be successful in the years to come.
My first ray of hope is young generation. I can see talent competency and confidence in them. Like the children of Israel who were living in miserable condition for hundreds of years and even under the leadership of Prophet Moses they didn’t changed their attitude and thus remain in crises even after their liberation from the tyranny of Faroon. In this situation Prophet Moses diverted all his attention to the new generation and when this generation took over the rein of the children of Israel they controlled the things and established their own independent state under the leadership of Prophet David. Similar is the case here ,our first generation which took over the newly independent state were greatly under the shadow of British empire even charismatic leader like Quaid e Azam didn’t succeed to change the behavior of most of the ruling elites of Pakistan specially Punjab. Eventually after his demise they dominated the ruling junta and Pakistan went on the road of new colonialism.
Now its time for the new generation to take over .they should take over the rein in every sphere of life like political parties, bureaucracy, police, judiciary and Army. They should bring the change. Change is inevitable; change is need of the time, they should change the political culture, standards of governance and above all they should try to break the vicious circle of feudal capitalist and civil military bureaucrats. This troika enjoyed the absolute power for more than the six decades in the country and solely responsible for all the miseries of the innocent Pakistanis.

Hallow !Waqas my dear MPA (Emeritus) ,though Muskan, is always right, but please elaborate here, who is Muskan and what was the point of agreement.
Was it a crisis of leadership, or future of Pakistan or story of success in coming years or pessimism?
What do you want from us my dear, to dig your comments or article related to discussion as prime asset and monument?
Humble request! To extricate theme and background idea so to aware new reader as, I am not, at least, in a habit to read constrained, univocal and unipolar stuff.
Now if I deliberately indulge in the pound of opinion as part of discussion, I would have my own perspective negating you on multiple outlets.
Dear, first of all I would like to have your concept of leadership.
Please excavate few words so to express your visionary thought regarding leader and leadership.
Sir I would definitely wait to have your say in this regard at your desired time and feasibility on the platform.
You see Waqas you have again diverted the theme of story, like most of the leader who are never pessimistic and see their upcoming generation in twilight of stars like twinkles.
Sir this is the problem in Pakistan that some “yousuf”,”asif’ and smith is being granted position and designation and from the desk, he starts dictating ideas so to build nation and policy, so to run nation.
Dear do you mind telling me what specialty; do you see in your grooming generation and by the way what are, your concepts regarding mature age for such activities. I am 39 years old, what is my pool in your diary of new comer in terms of defender and policy maker .
Why do you see them meritorious in up coming years when you have a reserving comment that the nation is short of leader and change could not be brought about even by charismatic leader like quaid e azam.
In my opinion you are same sibling as fake slogan holder of ill perception relying on feels as, lust and search of water in desert , though it’s a mirage.
Get out of your self created ideal scope and horizon.
Its time to feel ,perceive, interpret, infer, exercise as experiment along with backup, forecast with prediction and move and shake, so to accomplished, not for yourself but the one who are too young to understand or still to come.
Change is a process of cultivation that passes through the era of different cycles and seasons, so to become the factor of dominancy, as change.
Human behavior has an inborn character, as trait, to retaliate and disown change that is brought about.
This retaliation is based on intrinsic factors that reside as desire, obligation, compulsion, restrictions and Ego, which are again the precursor of lust, belief, belonging, culture, tradition, terms, priority, preference and liability.
Under the presence of such legitimate residents, created retaliation has a thrust that can only be cross over and resist by theory of deliberate acceptance.
Deliberate acceptance is a terminology that allows invasion of every such domain of vocabulary of events that can never become the part and parcel of human nature under conditions of normalcy and circumstantial retaliations.
Such deliberate acceptance when becomes and enter in to the restricted domain as belief creates a motivated desire to practice and perform the act as integral part of habit and habitat.
It is this platform of habit that becomes the trait by the long term process of change and such traits acquires the norms and nature of practice as part of tradition, culture and civilization.
During the process of such a long distance call of change in nature ,abrupt mode of expectation so to bring change is a misnomer and unless and until restricted and obligatory regulations in terms of law and reforms are introduced and implemented ,dust can not be settled .
In my opinion ailment of catastrophe and destructive approach to disassemble, though a transient and acute process but reassembling and arranging has vice versa effect in terms of time and change
“fake slogan”
” Get out of your self created ideal scope and horizon.”
“express your visionary thought regarding leader and leadership.”
Fake slogans! (Good one!)
Self created ideal scope and horizon (which is bunch of …..!)
Vision ! (another good one!)
Leader and leadership ! (someone who would let him in the assembly with all the goodies!)
Like it, Doctor Raza Sahib, this is the best way to counter such imposters.
Dear dr sahib
I think you need to compose yourself and try to focus on the issue. You confused and inter mix lot of things .this means that you have not clarity of thought and vision. Just by responding in so called philosophic way in undesirable detail didn’t mean that you even understood the basic theme. So please come out of your self created philosophic doom and concentrate on my point which is
‘My first ray of hope is young generation. I can see talent, competency and confidence in them.’ counter that point if you have some reasons.
Is that why you encouraged them to go and get training to become “terrorists”?
Muhammad Waqas Says: “I can see talent, competency and confidence in them”.
Waqas it’s too difficult to answer and reason, so many queries in just one sitting, though it’s a simple sentence.
You see waqas! Advocacy demands evidences.
Similarly evidences demand circumstantial happening and existence of event or crime.
The same is also true for judgment that relies on advocacy and evidence based conclusive interpretative conclusion as decision.
Predictions, forecast and foresee are terms, dependent on, calculative, assertive, interpreted, sketched observation having weightage and float as virtual perception.
Virtual perception is basically a hypothetical simulation confronting the reality.
Reality is evidence based matter that has mandatory requirement of existence in form or format.
Reality has a built-in infrastructure that bypasses all element of appreciation in terms of senses.
In other word what is seen is a reality what can not is fantasy or vision.
Vision is an integrated impulse which tracks, a defined and detailed pathway, so to provide exact dimension, shape, size and as necessary and required.
Although vision delineate the dimensional info of the existing matter but it does not provide exact statistical metronome, thereby behaving in a manner as mirror image of reality but not the actual reality .
Waqas under the theme of above discussion, as part of your training, your remarks to foresee, looses its weightage as actual reality and is more towards, a fantasy.
Waqas there is a proverb “Eyes do not see what mind does not know”.
Mind is a logical place or platform of human body which accept only logic. Definitely, I would not indulge in defining logic here.
Logical evaluation by mind is dependent upon backup knowledge and experience with abilities as traits and qualities as talent.
Knowledge and experience are groom reflection of qualification and exposure.
Qualification becomes part and parcel only when indulgence becomes the approach.
It is this approach that expresses as talent whereas competency reflects skilled exposure with backup knowledge and continued experience in terms of expertise.
It is the groomed and skilled approach in the name of competency and command by virtue of qualification, which creates essence as confidence.
You see waqas! These factors are the secondary object of expression as built-in qualities of display whereas primary object have different perspective prerequisite in the format of qualification.
It is the achievements at primary circle that lineate the route towards a successful episode as foresee and prediction.
Under the table of discussion, please show me qualification to second your prediction.
Where did Muhammad Waqas state:
“Is that why you encouraged them to go and get training to become “terrorists”?
Aftab Bhai, you have real issues with the writer. Both of you appear to have an old vendetta that I do not understand. Just like you were kind with other copycat “writers” here on TPS, it might do well for you to be kind to Mr. Waqas. Calling him a Mullah, as you have done in the past on this site, and trying to make a mockery of him here does not suit a man of your wisdom and knowledge.
Regards
Peter Drucker once said
“Trying to predict the future is like trying to drive down a country road at night with no lights while looking out the back window. ”
What i want to say is that yes its good to see about the future on the right perspective and its been good from my point of view that we need our young generations( being a part of it ..
) to look at the positive way and run the country ….. but do you think Respected Mr. M Waqas that our young generation can run the country when its facing so much hurdles and crisis being going through from it ……… what is your point of view on this point ………
About Leadership …………….. How many examples we have in relation with PAKISTAN except few of them which we all know …. what true leader is and how to behave like a leader ….. I read once read this quote .. i guess its of Peter Drucker toooo
“The leaders who work most effectively, it seems to me, never say “I”. And that’s not because they have trained themselves not to say “I”. They don’t think “I”. They think “we”; they think “team”. They understand their job to be to make the team function. They accept responsibility and don’t sidestep it, but “we” gets the credit. This is what creates trust, what enables you to get the task done. ”
Can you tell how many of our current leader are fulfilling the above statement …… Is our young generation growing up on the same penetration level as of their elder ones ……….
What i have observed is that in today’s so called materialistic society no one cares for anyone ….. they just meet with each other for there own mutual benefits and when their respect work finished/done the very next day they said about the person who are you what do you want ………….. so keeping that in our minds … change is very much difficult in our society ..Yes we do not want to loose hope on your young generation and I hope when there is THE DAY come like that in our country…..
Kind Regards………
Salaam
Mr Waqas I share your hopes for the future and I agree. a arevolution is needed in all the regions you discussed. we need leaders to come from the lower classes and Midlle classes, we need the Feudal system thrown in the grave of history and if the feudals object then throw them in graves as well.
It is time that Pakistanis expected more from our Country, and as President Kennedy said
“ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country”
Wasallam
though i dont agree wid a few things you said here…dr saab….
but totally agree with the gist of ur article…
its good…that u are too hopeful of the future…
lets all join hands…
to the shinning ray of hope
(still flickering) in our hearts
-peace
i beg your pardon….i meant Mr. Waqas…
