Musharraf’s Image Improving, and Pakistan’s?

By The Pakistani Spectator • Jan 25th, 2008 • Category: Politics • 3 Comments •

When the people attack police, what else police could do if not baton charge and tear gas the protesters? This was the point President Musharraf raised in his tour of England. He said that when Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz came to Election Commission to file Musharraf’s nomination paper for Presidential Elections, people blocked his way, and Police had to resort to “tough” measures.

For one people didn’t really block the whole way of Prime Minister, as there was thousands of Police and plain clothe men were present, and they had virtually sealed the area, and it was nearly impossible for protesting lawyers to reach him. Couple of brave souls managed to reach there, but they were really “dealt” with by the police.

But Media persons were also there. Why Police had beaten the media? Why Police scared the hell out of journalists at that day in front of Election Commission, who were just there to cover the event?

President says that the protests in Lahore are different than the protests in London. In London, people come to protest with placards in hands and they leave peacefully, while in Pakistan people come with the soul intention of burning and looting the buildings and property.

Are we Pakistanis like that? Well, our President has said that. President is improving the image of Pakistan or improving his own image abroad? Is he dispelling the misconception of West about himself or about this hapless country?

Why exactly the people were protesting in front of Election Commission? They were protesting in the favour of democracy, free media, civil liberties and the deposed judges. What’s wrong in that? What’s right in the election of a uniformed President?

  1. **cking **tards like Asif Zardari and Nawaz sharif must either be deported or put in jail for 10 years due to their past corrupt deeds. The other bloody bastards like Imran Khan, Qazi Hussain and Iftikhar Chaudhry and his team like Aitazaz, Kurd, Munir Malik must be prosecuted in open court for bringing Pakistan in chaos and anarchy and put behind bars for next 5 years.
For Pakistani Spectator, there were no people in front of election commission but the paid workers of political parties and some rogue lawyers who actually attacked the ministers.

If anybody accepts your point of view that these were general people were protesting in favour of democracy, free media, civil liberties etc etc. Why these people were silent for last 8 years.

Don’t try to fool Pakistani people with this false propaganda. Your a** is itching that why a mohajir is ruling Pakistan
