Musharraf : Teri Yaad Aai Teray Janay K Bad

By Gul Raiz • Aug 7th, 2008 • Category: Politics • 3 Comments •

Yeah, contrary to the media propaganda, the truth of the matter is that President Pervez Musharraf isn’t taking part in the fiascos and melodramas happening all around us, and he is just sitting there in the Presidency giving people what they in their misguidance wanted.

Now even the most ill-informed is recalling the era of Musharraf, when there was at least some peace, and there was availability of electricity, gas, water, food items, oil and other commodities. The crux of the matter is that these times are very heavy on the nation, and now everybody is yearning for the previous days.

At least Musharraf was not hypocrite in his sayings and deeds. He practiced what he said, and he has delivered to the nation. Businessmen from Karachi, Industrialists from Faisalabad, Investors from Lahore, Brokers from Islamabad and other people are pleading with Musharraf to come back, as it is crucial to the survival of the country.

The recent visit of Premier Gilani to the United States and the cropping up of crisis over crisis in the country have revealed the leadership crisis in the country, and that can only be filled by the Musharraf.

  1. All the good that Mr. Musharraf did seems to be forgotten by the masses.
I hope that things will be better in the future, but looking at the ‘intellects’ at the helm of our leadership, I have serious doubts. I, for one, feel that Mr. Musharraf did a lot of good for the country, but that is only my opinion.
The controversial judicial crisis, augmented by ‘political greed’ has all but destroyed that. Now, an attempt at impeaching the President - will that reduce our flour crisis? Or for that matter, any other problem the country is faced with at present? I pray to the Almighty to provide guidance to our politicos and Mr. Musharraf. I pray to the Almighty that all Pakistanis have a safe and prosperous life in our motherland, Pakistan. And yes, as pessimistic as it sounds, I do not believe either the PPP nor the PML-N leadership.
PS: your piece is bound to rub a few the wrong way!

  2. first of all ,i appreciate you that u typed down some thing which is out of fashion( abusing mush is in fashion) and it requires real courage to talk some thing different.
i do belong to some business family and i witnessed that situation is worst now .but i could not comment further for the reason that i am not much literate enough to comment on financial technical problems i.e how much the reasoning of PPP is true in saying that its all gift from MUSH reign.
regarding KSE current devastated outlook ,it might be caused by ARIF HABIB ,AQEL KARIM …as they are with mush and whole punjab is contrary to them.
now wait and see ,what more devastation happens to this country ,as they are now talking about impeachment, and city of industries and business activities KARACHI is with mush (at least our land lords are with MUSH …common sense guess who is landlord of KHI) …so here some thing fishy cud happen as happened on 12th may ……..as you would be hearing continuously from MQM side ,the danger of TALIBANIZATION IN KHI……..one should expect what could happen next….i am not sure but this mush is confident cuz of karachites support (rather london s scholar support..again guess yourself)….other wise punjab singing songs of Nawaz. and for this same reason Nawaz declared as most popular person over all ..(due to more population of Punjab) by some international survey……..
    ..
they don t even releaze the pain of khi,cuz here is every thing twice costly as compared to other parts of country and for the same reason karachites consider these issues more important then judges restoration and president s impeachment …..this paragraph is not based on assumptions this i heard from people around me …obviously karachites ..

  3. GUL RAIZ,

This is marvellous, I have talked to the taxi drivers, I have talked to the shopkeepers, I talked to the bankers, I talked to the govt. employees of different departments, I talked within my freinds and relatives circles and I talked to the people on streets at different places in Pakistan. Believe me everybody says that previous govt. was much better in each and every respect than this govt.

In fact, there is no govt. in Pakistan nowadays.
