Musharraf Likes to Depose Chaudharies
By Dr. Hassan Isfahani • May 6th, 2008 • Category: Politics, Worth A Second Look • 8 Comments •President General (r) Pervez Musharraf, who have ruled this country with iron hands have acquired a knack of deposing anything which has ‘Chaudhary’ in its name. He relished it with gusto while deposing Chaudhary Iftikhar multiple times, and now he is bent on deposing Chaudhary Shujaat from the leadership of PML-Q.
Though there is a huge difference between the Supreme Court and PML-Q and also there is extreme difference between Chaudhary Iftikhar and Chaudhary Shujaat, but the common thing between the two is that they have been victimized by the tinpot dictator.
Chaudhary Iftikhar took oath from Musharraf under PCO, and then said ‘No’ and still facing the wrath of the dictator. Chaudhary Shujaat provided the political support to Musharraf and did all the dirty work for him, and then said ‘No’ when Musharraf asked him to step down from leadership of PML-Q.
There is hell lot of difference between the both ‘Nos’. One was for the freedom of justice and the other was for the vested interest. One No was proved to be agent of change ,while the other is meaningless as far as the change is concerned. One No was the ray of hope for the nation, while the other No is just mumbling monotone.
President Musharraf must be amazed at the ‘No’ by the chief justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhary, but the ‘No’ from Chaudhary Shujaat must be a shocker for him. How a man who didn’t tolerate the ‘No’ from the chief justice, could tolerate the ‘No’ from an abjectly submissive slave of all these years?
After the ‘No’ of chief justice, lawyers movement was started which pulled off the uniform of dictator and made him to bring the political leadership back and caused him to have elections in the country. After the ‘No’ of chief of PML-Q, what will happen?

closed chapter …………………………….justice retd iftikhar chowdhry,…………….lets open new vocabulary of issues……………………………………………….lets paln and control inflation ,poverty ,hunger ,,…………………………
Inflation - Does NOT bother the rich, most of these corrupt politicians have stolen enough of public wealth to pay higher prices.
Poverty - Does NOT bother the rich, most of these corrupt politicians have enriched themselves by stealing public wealth.
Hunger - Does NOT bother the rich, most of these corrupt politicians don’t know how one feels when threatend by hunger, they have stolen the public wealth and left nothing in the past for the POOR and HUNGRY of our masses.
Only solution is ridding us of all these thieves; total and complete eradication and destruction of these parasites from our national life.

Mr Aftab, for your kind onformation. Only Politicians are not culprits. Majority of Pakistanis are corrupt and culprits. You thinks that rest of society is PAAK. Its not like that sir. It will open a long debate but please open your eyes and see around you. May be you find many even in your own family. Its reality and we have to accept it.
Respected “Reader”, I can and do understand your stand and also agree to some extant, but only some extant. See, the point I am highlighting is that this small group of people in the garbs of politicians have allienated the masses in our country to the point that common man is totally resignated and has no say in anything of substance regarding our condition. In my view when someone decides to go in public life (the politicians) then it is her / his absolute responsibility to tackle all such issues and have the courage to face the public and explain the reasons for the situation and what is being done. This way, I as an ordinary citizen will feel that my representatives are concerned, they are doing something to solve the problem, and that they consider me important enough to report to. In a democracy (”demo” meaning people and “cratie” meaning rule) that is how you win and maintain public support and communicate your concern about your people.
As far as your verdict about majority of Pakistanis being “currupit” and “culprits” is concerned. Well, if victims must be charged guilty for being victims then you and I have a hundred percent difference of opinion. But if I am to understand that the majoriy must be burdened with blame in such strong words because of its apathy or sense of impotence then you are absolutely right. The people of Pakistan must reject the of thugs and knaves and they have the power to do so it is their country.
Please read above : EXTENT / CORRUPT and forgive me for my mistakes.
Dr Saab,
