Mush Deserves to be President Now

By Ali Yar Khan • May 27th, 2008 • Category: Entertainment • 6 Comments •

I am all for keeping our retired commando, our generalissimo (retd.) Pervez Musharraf as a President in the President House, but only after clipping his wings and taking out his venom. What a nice punching bag he would make then, wow. A treat for blogging. A delight to perk and pinch and punch. I am already salivating.

If he volunteers to go himself or if he is impeached by the government, then he would simply retire to his lavish estate in Spain or he would make Turkey his home, and we would never again hear about him, and as now in the case of Shaukat Aziz we could just grind our teeth and punch in the air, we wouldn’t be able to do anything about Musharraf, except to fume ourselves.

When people raised the slogans of “Ayub Kuta Hai Hai”, Ayub was dignified enough to call it quits. The same slogans have been raised for a year now, but Musharraf is not budging. So much for the dignity. All the media, all the lawyers, all the political activists and the neutral bodies are echoing the same sentiments at full volume, but he is there and the disgustingly funny thing is that still Musharraf’s spokesman Rashid Qureshi says, “Sadar Sub Kay Hain.”

Let him be there. Make him a symbolic figurehead, and then let the nation’s fury unleashed. Then everybody would know that “Sadar Kis Kay Hain.”

  1. It is fate of the cowards, they always, ” just grind our teeth and punch in the air,”. Extreme example of sadistic tendencies; but then pathologies can’t be cured through blogging - for that one must seek medical care.

  2. Mr AFtab, Mr M KHan, Mr Aashique of Mushi… you are drowning as your bloody chap is drowning.. Please try to save yourself becuase your bloody chap won’t be able to save himself. ALl exist doors are closing for him one by one. Now even Military officers have started commenting against him and demanding his resign… Today Supahi rank are abusing on him…infront of other generals. Its called change…the change which we civilians were waiting for. Today these officers are accepting on Media that they are ordered since last 2 years that go on road in civil dress…not in uniform…because our Army is afraid of its own people… Why…because this Army is corrupt and needs full restructuring. Great time to see all this first time. Its history of Pakistan that Generals are starting to think sincerely about Pakistan and agreeing that they did worst with Pakistan.

in ki na suno. they are actively engaged in destroying pakistan.

  4. Amnesty International Report:

The road to Guantánamo starts in Pakistan.

More than 85 percent of detainees unlawfully held at the US detention centre in Cuba were arrested by the Afghan Northern Alliance and in Pakistan at a time when rewards of up to US$5,000 were paid for every unidentified terror suspect handed over to the USA.

Bounty hunters – including police officers and local people – took advantage of this routine practice that facilitated illegal detention and enforced disappearance, almost unheard in Pakistan before the US-led “war on terror”. The Pakistani courts have failed to offer protection.

Hundreds of Pakistani and foreign nationals have been picked up in mass arrests in Pakistan since 2001, many have been “sold” to the USA as ‘terrorists’ simply on the word of their captor, and hundreds have been transferred to Guantánamo Bay, Bagram Airbase or secret detention centres run by the USA.

Some 300 people have since been released from Guantánamo Bay without charge. Many detainees remain unaccounted for, their fate and whereabouts unknown. They are at risk of torture and “rendition”.

Victims include terror suspects - men, women and children -, journalists who have reported on the “war on terror” and medical personnel who allegedly treated terror suspects.

Family members, lawyers and other activists are gathering in Islamabad, Pakistan (29 to 30 September) to exchange information and encourage action against Pakistan’s abuses in the “war on terror”.

The Government of Pakistan is directly responsible for the fate of many Guantánamo detainees and the “disappearance” of many others, and the suffering of their loved ones.

The Pakistani government must set up a central register of detainees and publish regular lists of all recognised places of detention so that in future nobody can be secretly imprisoned and face the risk of torture and other ill-treatment.

The meeting, hosted by the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) and Amnesty International, will be a first step for Pakistani politicians, media and civil society to stand up and hold the government to account for the abuses committed.

You can also make a difference. Spread the word.

  5. (MATTER OF SHAME FOR RESPECTABLE PERSON BUT MUSHARRAF NOT COMES IN THIS LIST BECAUSE HE IS SHAMELESS / SHAME PROOF.)

Petition filed against President Musharraf’s stay in Army House:

Petition filed against President Musharraf’s stay in Army House LAHORE: A petition has been filed in Supreme Court against President Musharaf’s stay in the Army House pleading the court to issue orders to the president to vacate the Army House.

Secretary General of Save Judiciary Movement Jameel Akhtar has filed he petition in the Supreme Court Lahore Registry through his counsel Barrister Farooq Hassan.

The petitioner in his petition under Article 184 A pleaded to the court that President Musharraf has been retired as the Army Chief so he can not reside in the Army House. “He has illegally occupied the Army House since Nov. 15, 2007,” the petitioner said.

He begged that the court should take action and order the president to vacate the Army House.

    THE END.

Allah give respect and he can take it back too. Zaleel ho ker Army House Khali ker raha hai… Ghairat hoti to choolo bhar pani main doob marta magar humaray mulk main jo high level per baitha hota hai…woh itna he bay gahirat aur bay sharam hota hai.

Kis muh say Kabbah jai ga Ghalib
K sharam phir bhee tum ko nahee aati.

  6. END OF AN OTHER DICTATOR…

Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani held an extremely important meeting with President Pervez Musharraf at the Army House Rawalpindi late on Wednesday.

The meeting continued till after midnight lasting more than three-and-a-half hours. This was their longest one-on-one encounter. The meeting, which was significant in view of the current political and security situation in the country, gained further importance as it took place after day-long consultations of the Army chief with his important commanders.

Brigadier Faheem Rao has taken over the command of the Triple-One Brigade in place of the president’s loyal commander Brigadier Aasim Bajwa. The commando unit looking after the security of the Presidency has been changed with another unit.

Highly placed sources told The News late on Wednesday evening that President Pervez Musharraf has made up his mind to call it a day and he can make an announcement in this regard any time. His closest aides are of the view that after losing all hope of survival in power the president has made up his mind to lead a retired life.

Sources said though the president’s official spokesman denied this impression, Musharraf has no option left but to quit. The president has already been asked by ‘important officials’ not to think about any step that may further aggravate the already fragile political situation in the country. Musharraf has consented to leave the Army House immediately and he may move to the President House within 48 hours before calling it a day.

“There is no question of any extra-constitutional step by him or on his behalf. The president has lost the capacity to invoke constitutional provisions like 58-2 (b), dissolving the assembly and the government. The question of introducing an impeachment motion would not come as the president will leave office and get a safe passage. The drop scene of the drama that started on March 9 last year is bound to appear any time soon,” the sources said.

Meanwhile, Brigadier Aasim Salim Bajwa, who served President Pervez Musharraf as his military secretary in his initial days and was considered to be the most loyal Army officer of the president, was made commander of the Triple-One Brigade, which is responsible for the security of the president, federal capital and Rawalpindi, by President Pervez Musharraf before relinquishing the office of the Army chief. This Brigade has always played a main role in staging coups in the past.

Brigadier Bajwa also provided Musharraf admirable assistance in tabulation of his book ‘In the Line of Fire’. He was due to take part in war-course in August this year but is now proceeding for another course to the United States next week. Brigadier Faheem Rao has been appointed Commander Triple-One Brigade. He has already taken over the charge of the Brigade.
