Mumbai Attacks : Implications for Pakistan

Whenever any suicide attack, bomb blast or any terrorist activity happens in Pakistan, government and media link it up to the tribal areas. Little is done to quest for the root causes and the actual forces behind these attacks. When even a cracker is executed in India, government officials and their media blame Pakistan and sometimes Bangladesh.
Now as the Mumbai city of India is under attack and many people have died and have got injured and the life is in total chaos in this city, Indian media is once again finger pointing at Pakistan. Though the attackers themselves have identified themselves as Indians and their demands are to pull Indian troops from Kashmir and to severe the Indian bonds with Israel and the release of their companions, India is hell bent on accusing Pakistan. They are once again blaming their all time favorite outfit Laskhr-Tayyaba, which has already denied their involvement.
The attacks in Mumbai are despicable and condemnable but Indians must not blame Pakistan and must understand that both India and Pakistan are under the siege of terrorism. India is a big country and they should understand that if India becomes unstable, it would have direct effect on Pakistan. India and Pakistan should join hands to combat terrorism and this is the time to heal the wounds of people at both sides instead of harboring animosities and resentments.

I think, officers of indian army might involved in these terrorists attack. indian govt. should grill hard the arrested Lt.Col who was involved in malegaon and samjhota express terrorist attacks.
This is ridiculuos that we (Pakistan) have an indian terrorist in our jail (who actually has confessed his crime); waiting to be hanged and it was also proved high oficials of indian army are involved in terrorist activities but indian govt are blaming Pakistan for everything.
They should change their thinking at least now and concentrate thier own indigenously produced terrorist outfits. The people of india must understand this double policy of their govt.
The govt. of Pakistan must not keep the criminal silence on this indian blame game and come forward with a befittiing reply to indian’s false accusations, who never miss any chance to bring bad name to Pakistan on international level.
I am Indian and I know for a fact that this incident could not have been cooked inside our own borders. Pakistan will pay - and pay dearly my friends. Just you wait

Its very easy to prove that we Pakistani cant conduct such a well planned terrorism activity in the heart of india. as now we have many examples in our history that we are not capable of such acts.

In 1971 our army and its coward general preferred to give up arms rather than wasting time on more sacrifices.
Kargil was another worst blow owing to weak plans and ultimately faced defeat with lot of casualities from both side.
Our army is fighting in swat for more than one year and still terrorists and terrorists activities are making different hide and seek plans with our poor army men.No body is answering our army management that how arms are easily acccessible there when all roads and mountains are blocked by army for so much long time.
Drones are coming on our borders on daily basis, killed men and then returned back.Is there any existence of our airforce who spent millions in a year on the name of air defense system.Recently I watched the movement of GOC of air defence when he is coming in air defence mess for attending his function.7 and 8 double cabin vehicles were covering him loaded men in civilian clothes with modern automatic weapons , were there to protect a single soul.People in the mess first thought that some “wadera was there” but ultimately they were told that GOC is here to attend a air defence function.
So again I say that our army is not in mood of giving harm and protect any one in and outside country so they prefer to focus on high level personal security plans.
We have live latest examples going on in northern sides that our army men are as usual preferring to give up arms in front of tribes rather then shooting them.
Lal masjid actions is a good example of efficiency of our army .gen kiyani comments can be highlighted for showing our army performance.
So its good for rehman malik to make technical reports on such performance of army and give them to Indians that dont put such high profile blames on us as we are already busy with our own people and dont want to divert our attention as this is our dollar source of income without any accountability.

I don’t think Pakistan has anything to do with the attacks in the face of already troubled environment contained within its borders. It would be instead an obvious mistake to do it especially at a time once its running after getting financial aid from international orgs. What seems obvious is that western powers have much more interests vested in this whole scenario (cause if a war breaks out between the two countries would boost the arms sales).. Its virtually pointless to prematurely target pakistan because it has become a fashion that wherever the evil al qaida / terror strikes people rather than professionally investigating the matter down to the core, try to save face by hiding behind such arguments such as it must have been done under the supervision of Pakistan.. come on now guys!! grow up..

i would suggest you look at the facts had the terrorist waited a day or two they would have had middlesex and 2 australian cricket teams , they could have held them hostage and then they would have gotten all the international attention they wanted or even worse they could have full filled the objective (as claimed) i.e to kill american and british.
the terrorists had atleast 2 hours before the police took action they could have blown up the hotel in two hours and caused maximum deaths an other objective as claimed by the indian police

I believe - we the citizens of Pakistan and India have to be careful and not fall in this Hate game.
If you go back in history - all started with Indo-Pak war and creation of Bangladesh — then State sponsored ISI carried out a Proxy war against india and now these elements are totally out of control of Pakistan govt. This is similar to what happened to US after they supported Taliban and other elements in their proxy war with Russia.
Even if Pakistani Govt is not involved in Terrorism, there are elements in Pak Military and Pak establishment who have soft corner for this Jihad and turning a blind eye to home grown terror. You dont need to go too far to get proof — you have all the proof ranging from US intelligence report. Dawood is declared International Terrorist. Azhar was released in exchange for Hostage standoff. So India is not asking for heads of some “gentlemen” — these are known anti-social elements living and growing in Pakistan.
Having said that — even if Pak govt and Pak citizens have good intentions, I doubt they have control over these elements and I would not be surprised Pakistan moving close to situation as Afganistan.
Its high time that Pakistan public realize the direction they are heading and put pressure on govt to act tougher and get control of military & ISI to end this proxy war. Again as I mentioned, people of both sides dont want WAR but this is “non state” sponsor with support from some govt elements (who have soft corner for jihad and terrorism).

Pak crackdown on JuD to avoid terrorist state tag
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan, which has launched a crackdown on Jamaat-ud-Dawa, Friday said the country faced the prospects of being declared a terrorist state and left with a crippled economy if it had not acted on the sanctions imposed on the terrorist group by the UN Security Council.
“There was a resolution in the United Nations Security Council. If Pakistan had not taken steps under that, then they could have declared Pakistan a terrorist state. They could have crippled Pakistan’s economy,” Defence Minister Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar said.
“If the whole world is on one side, Pakistan does not have the strength to face the whole world. We can fight against our enemies, but we can’t fight an economic war with the whole world,” he told reporters at the Islamabad airport.
Pakistan has launched a crackdown on JuD, the front organisation of the banned LeT blamed for the Mumbai terror attacks, in response to the UN Security Council’s declaration of the group as a terrorist outfit, he said.
Referring to the tension sparked by the Mumbai terror attacks and reports of a possible military confrontation between Pakistan and India, Mukhtar said war was “not to the advantage of either” country.
Pakistan Thursday banned the JuD and placed its chief Hafiz Mohammad Saeed, also the founder of the LeT, under house arrest for three month. Jamaat offices across the country were sealed last night by police and security agencies. There are also unconfirmed reports that dozens of Jamaat activists have been detained.

I am well aware of hardships of siachen and all border area.I know very well that at leest 10 to 20 armymen including two or three officers are daily sent down ward from such heights as retarded men .On daily basis we faced loses of human limbs that made an healthy man into retarded human being on working such harsh environment. I can feel the pain of widows and orphans who were left alone as shaeed’s family because I have seen them growing in shattered life styles in our sensless society thats why I hate wars.Wars are only planned on our soil for promote army rule in Pakistan.That why two times we started combat operation against India and both time faced defeat.What are consequence of war culture on Pakistan.Did you get an acre of kashmir land or declare kargil as PakIstan’s land after spending billions of rupees on defense expenditure rather than on development.Our generals and their families are turning as billionaire business men and our poor young man power is tending towards terrorism.More time is passing , more feuds and corrupt people are coming forward to rule us changing Pakistan as mafia state.One’s army mean professionalism with dedication. go and sit in army messes you will find that army officers are busy in land business or finding different ways for getting monetary benefits from this uniform.Army professionalism should be seen on borders where we can find plenty of cross border smuggling, terrorism and drone attacks and our army men are busy in making roads, NIC cards, land business etc.The guys from poor background are selected for war fronts and their shadat or courageous acts never got any kind of projection as these are only used as dying robots.After their death some money and land are granted to their under privileged families that usually add more misery to their lonely life with out important guardian.Stop living in fools world , the nation who can not pin point their weakness on time only face humiliation and that is what we are facing these days.using abusive language for impressing others is very easy but a useless tool , a very unpractical way of denying ground realities.

From all the contents that you have posted above i can safely conclude that your knowledge about the army is not only redumentry but all of it has been gained sitting in a mess attending some function. how can you pin your problems on the army. that is plain old being irresponsible. where is your politics and your democracy as a nation. whenever the army has intervened it is because some political system seized to function. and miss please go around and gain some knowledge about 71 war not only from local authors of books but also from international analysts, you will be astonished to learn that 71 war can only be termed as a political failure and not the army’s failure. pakistan army could have operated in that territory for years without giving up. typical pakistani army officers mentality, unreal, unpractical,and without logics.If you read our books belong to Pakistani curriculum you will find all such dialogues that has no link with any real incidents.I have no requirement of going to any authors for what was happened in 1971 and 65 as I heard the live incidents of these wars at my home through their real participants.Swaping of corrupt politicians to military take over is called martial law or military rule in ones state and that happened only where military wants to rule the people.In civilian set up or democratic set up corrupt politicians were removed by dedicated politicians and that is undesirable for our generals who want to live like king of jungle.Monarchy or military rule is not an alternative of any civilian rule therefore nowsday developed nation never opted military rule even after collapse of successful monarchy.As this point is not digestable to any corrupt officers so they keep on saying on our clear military defeats that all was happened because of political failures.Politics fails but it dosnt mean we leave politcics and trust generals who can only get out of scene when ever god father wants to get rid of them. Our generals are labeled as ourssonofbitch in western media and in response they treat people of Pakistan like their sonof bitch or bloody civilians.I wish you could read the contents of letter of genral alvi who died recently in target killing near his home.All in his funerals were sure who and why he was killed but all kept silence as most are cowards and money hungry.His major points clearly reveals that how mush and his friends made wrong deals with talibans and now they are living in high security zones and letting us to die like dogs in the hands of such savages that were once protected by our army..I wish you can name any single general who faced a single shot in line of duty and then start land business.Come and see the palaces,business ventures and investment of our corrupt generals who helped zia and then mush and you will find the answer.
