Farid Sahab, I am a political realist, for me politics is not a dogma that there is no room for flexibility. I consider politics as a means to an end and not an end in itself. If you know what I mean.

Iran is a different country with different set of circumstances, aspirations and expectations, they can do what they like with their country and people and it neither concerns me nor bothers.

We Pakistanis have to, in my opinion, and we must think of Pakistan and Pakistanis' interest and it's in our best interest to have best friendly relations with the West including the USA. And there's nothing "blind" in it.

Incidently this is exactly what Shahbaz Sharif is saying, and I quote, "US was a well-wisher of Pakistan and its people.” he further said on behalf of Nawaz Sharif, " Nawaz was not in the habit of taking dictation from outsiders, neither was he ignorant of the importance of maintaining close friendly relations with the US."

I am glad to to notice this flexibility in their stance regarding the US, this will help change the un-necessary anti Us and anti West propaganda. Ground reality can not be denied and one has to live with t.

For the benefit of those who might care:
(DAWN May, 12, 2008)

He (Shahbaz Sharif) said every effort was being made to save the coalition. He did not rule out the possibility of a last-minute reversal in the situation.

His colleague Khawaja Asif said that even if the PML-N withdrew from the government it would continue to sit on the treasury benches at the centre and support the government on issue to issue basis, “and the PPP would not withdraw its support to the PML-N in the Punjab.”

He said he would not say that the coalition had collapsed, “because we will support the government without being in the government.”

Answering a question, Shahbaz Sharif said that the two parties would never revert to the acrimony that had plagued their relationship in the decade of 1990s.

Answering another question, he said both the parties had tried their best to keep the coalition from breaking off.

When asked about Nawaz’s meeting with Mr Boucher, Mr Shahbaz Sharif said it was held at the request of the US assistant secretary of state at the Park Lane flat. “Mr Boucher also favoured the idea of keeping the PPP-PML-N coalition intact as he said the US was a well-wisher of Pakistan and its people.”

Either you don't don't have a clue about what you want to say or you have so completely brain washed yourself that you really believe in such childish arguments.

Should there be two Presidents, Two COASs, Two Prime Ministers, many twos in other department, if i come to political parties, two Zardaris, Two Altafs, Two Shujaats, Two Nawazs. Come on try to integrate the dis-integrated system. This is voice of the 85% nation that the President must be removed from the office not mine, deposed judges to be re-instated on Nov 2 position not mine, judges who took oath on Nov 3rd must be removed from the current offices not mine, Our leaders should stop listening to foreign dictation not mine.

Come on try to face the reality.

In Pakistan we are about 165 million nations (not individuals!) ! And when an individual says something he / she takes upon himself to speak for the whole nation, why is it that individuals consider themselves bigger than they are. Well, I suppose the idea is self satisfaction in this regard. Good job!
