Multiple Battlefields
By Salman Mugsi • May 26th, 2008 • Category: Politics • 8 Comments •Why Asif Ali Zardari has opened up multiple battlefields simultaneously is beyond comprehension and beats my altogether. With a single stroke, he has angered every body within and outside the coalition government.
By hinting at abolishing 58(2)B, he has perked Pervez Musharraf and by not truly restoring deposed chief justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhary, he has invited the wrath of APDM, lawyers and PML-N. He has also plummeted the popularity of his party PPP, by not fulfilling on the promises and his approach towards crunch issues like war on terror and the social crisis is still yet to be seen.
His actions are very meek, while he talks very lengthy and heavy. His recent blooper of making everybody angry would be very costly. He should join hands with PML-N and lawyers and work on ousting Musharraf.
Everything else would be alright automatically.

CH. IFTIKHAR FAILED ATTEMPT
اس بار پاکستان پیپلز پارٹی سے تعلق رکھنے والے وکلاء نےشرکت نہیں کی
معزول چیف جسٹس افتخار محمد چوہدری سنیچر کے روز اسلام آباد سے فیصل آباد بار سے خطاب کرنے کے لیے مقررہ وقت سے کہیں دیر سے نکلے۔ میڈیا کو اس سفر کا بے چینی سے انتظار تھا کہ کب پچھلے سال اپریل جیسا سفر ایک بار دوبارہ شروع ہوتا ہے۔
چھوٹی ٹولیوں کی صورت میں معزول چیف جسٹس کی رہائش گاہ پر وکلاء کی آمد ہوتی رہی اور نعرے بازی میں وقتاً فوقتاً تیزی آتی گئی اور میڈیا کی توجہ ان کی طرف مرکوز ہو جاتی تھی۔
ماضی کے مقابلے میں آج سول سوسائٹی کی تعداد نہ ہونے کے برابر تھی۔ وہی چند چہرے نظر آئے جن کی امیدیں معزول چیف جسٹس سے وابستہ ہیں یعنی کہ لا پتہ افراد کے چند خاندان اور ڈیفنس بار ہیومن رائٹس کے کنوینر خالد خواجہ۔
سول سوسائٹی کے چند افراد کے علاوہ تقریباً دو سو افراد پر مشتمل پاکستان مسلم لیگ نواز کے کارکن وہاں موجود تھے جو کہ معزول چیف جسٹس اور مسلم لیگ نواز کے قائد میاں نواز شریف کے حق میں اور صدر پرویز مشرف کے خلاف نعرے لگا رہے تھےاور ان ہی کی موجودگی سے ٹھنڈے ماحول میں نسبتاً گرمی آئی۔
مسلم لیگ نون کے علاوہ اچھی بڑی تعداد پاکستان تحریک انصاف کے کارکنان کی بھی تھی جنہوں نے اپنی گاڑیوں پر بڑے بڑے سپیکرنصب کر کے انقلابی غزلیں اور ملی نغمے لگا رکھے تھے۔
صحافیوں اور وکلاء برادری میں سے کئی کا خیال تھا کہ سنہ دو ہزار سات اپریل کےمقابلےاس بار وکلاء کی تعداد کم ہے ۔انہوں نے کہا کہ اس کی ایک بڑی وجہ یہ بھی ہو سکتی ہے کہ اس میں پاکستان پیپلز پارٹی سے تعلق رکھنے والے وکلاء نےشرکت نہیں کی ہے۔
چیف جسٹس کا قافلہ
موٹروے پرمعزول چیف جسٹس کا قافلہ کئی جگہ رکا اور خیرمقدمی جلوس بھی تھا لیکن صرف کلر کہارپر ایسا ہجوم تھا جس کو آپ خیر مقدمی جلوس کہہ سکتے ہیں۔ باقی مقامات پر کہیں پچاس تو کہیں زیادہ سے زیادہ سو افراد موجود تھے
وہاں پر موجود کمیونسٹ کسان پارٹی کے کارکنان نے کہا کہ وہ معزول چیف جسٹس کا ساتھ اس لیے دے رہے ہیں کیونکہ انہیں لگتا ہے کہ وہ اس ملک کو اس سمت میں لے کر جائیں گے جو ان کی سوچ سے مناسبت رکھتی ہے۔ تاہم جماعت اسلامی کے ایک مقامی لیڈر نے بھی معزول چیف جسٹس کا ساتھ کچھ انہیں وجوہات پر دینے کے بارے میں کہا۔
پاکستان پیپلز پارٹی کے ایک کارکن وہاں موجود تھے جنہوں نے اپنا تعارف اعتزاز احسن کے حامی کے طور پر کرایا۔ ان سے جب پوچھا گیا کہ ان کی جماعت کے دیگر افراد نظر نہیں آ رہے تو ان کا کہنا تھا کہ ان کا تعلق ان افراد میں سے ہے جو ہیں تو پیپلز پارٹی کے کارکن لیکن سوچ اعتزاز احسن والی ہے۔
معزول چیف جسٹس گیارہ بجے کے بجائے ساڑھے تین بجے اپنی رہائش گاہ سے روانہ ہوئے تو کثیر تعداد میں گاڑیوں کا ایک قافلہ بن گیا اور ان کا پہلا پڑاؤ اسلام آباد کی کشمیر ہائی وے پر گولڑہ موڑ تھا۔
یہاں مسلم لیگ نون اور تحریک انصاف کے کاکرکن ایک بڑی تعداد میں موجود تھے جنہوں نے ان کی گاڑی پر پھولوں کی پتیاں نچھاور کیں اور ساتھ گھوڑوں کا رقص بھی تھا۔
موٹروے پر اگرچہ معزول چیف جسٹس کا قافلہ کئی جگہ رکا اور خیرمقدمی جلوس بھی تھا لیکن صرف کلر کہارپر ایسا ہجوم تھا جس کو آپ خیر مقدمی جلوس کہہ سکتے ہیں۔ باقی مقامات پر کہیں پچاس تو کہیں زیادہ سے زیادہ سو افراد موجود تھے۔ تاہم موٹر وے پر جہاں بھی رکے وہاں پر مسلم لیگ نون کے کارکن ہی نظر آئے۔

کلر کہار پر ایسا معلوم ہوا جیسے اس قافلے میں جان پڑ گئی ہو کیونکہ وہاں اعتزاز احسن معزول چیف جسٹس کے قافلے میں شامل ہو ئے۔ اعتزاز اور معزول چیف جسٹس ایک دوسرے سے بڑی گرمجوشی سے ملے اور آس پاس کھڑے تمام افراد کے چہروں پر خوشی کی لہر آ گئی۔
اعتزاز احسن پیپلز پارٹی کی سینٹرل ایگزیکٹو کمیٹی کے اجلاس میں شریک ہونے کی وجہ سے اسلام آباد سے معزول چیف جسٹس کے ہمراہ نہ تھے۔ اگلے ہی انٹر چینج پر لوگوں سے اعتزاز احسن نے اپنے جوشیلے انداز میں خطاب کیا اور نعرے لگوائے۔
وکلاء اپنی کامیابی کے حق میں نعرے لگاتے ہوئے موٹروے پر ایک دوسرے کو پیچھے چھوڑنے اور اس کوشش میں تھے کہ ان کی گاڑی معزول چیف جسٹس کی گاڑی کے عین پیچھے ہو۔ لیکن ان کے ساتھ ساتھ عوام کو بھی سخت مشلات کا سامنا کرنا پڑا کیونکہ وہ بھی اس قافلے کی سست رو رفتار میں پھنس گئے تھے۔
تقریباً سات گھنٹے کے سفر کے بعد فیصل آباد میں داخل ہونے پر معزول چیف جسٹس کے استقبال کے لیے پنجاب کے وزیر قانون رانا ثناء اللہ فیصل آباد کے ٹول پلازہ پر موجود تھے۔ آتش بازی اور نعروں کے درمیان معزول چیف جسٹس کسی چیف جسٹس کی طرح نہیں بلکہ ایک سیاسی رہنما کی طرح فیصل آباد میں داخل ہوئے۔

They have lost every opportunity of proving themselves as an independent, un-biased, unprejidiced and reliable channels.
Shame on you Geo, Ary and Aaj!
You can’t show true picture of events to the nation. You are deserved to be shutdown
and you deserve to be shut up.
Incompetent, biased, partial, unreliable and uncredible sources of information need to be shut down, who portrays wrong pictures to the nation in order to achieve their hidden agenda.
These sources are not sincere with the nation neither with the country. In fact, they are not sincere with this highly esteemed profession of journalism. They need to come under some sort of limits like PEMRA ordinance otherwise thy could play pivotal role in destabilising the country.
They should never given free hand to what they think is right and the rest is always wrong
Oh I see… Pakistan is very stable country since military Cue… Sorry I forget. Its media who did all…not guns of Army…who killed innocent people all over country as they are fighting against India. Great…I salute this Army who shows their strength on their own people. and on enemy side…they are doing agreement by giving away their areas…as in Sia Chin etc. Great…

We salute you Pak Army for killing the enemies of Pakistan (wheather inside the country or outside) and we (the people of Pakistan ) will continue support you when you need to interfere in incompetent govts affairs in safe guarding country’s interest; same as what we supported matial -Law of 5 july 1977 (when the bloody politicians had brought Pakistan on the brink of desaster by agitations, stikes, arsons and killings) same as we supported the martial law of Ayub Khan (when in 2 years 11 prime ministers changed).
And if it is needed now to bring Martial Law we will support you even now.

These so called anchor guys in the Geo, ARY and Aaj are a bunch of wimps and lapdogs and they are doing as they are told - inflict damages to a decent man, our president. What is most disturbing is to notice the gullibility of the ordinary people; if they can’t exercise a bit of common sense then I am afraid nothing can be done. Just wait for the action replay in a few months down the road and I guarantee you the next fall guy will be one of the saviours of today. Just wait.
Yeah, one more thing. I do think that we as a nation can not be so thankless and disloyal to those among us who have served our people and our country well. Indeed, I too salute our President, our Military and our Flag.

Dear mugsi, people of Pakistan are well aware of zardari temperament, and similarly establishment and political goons are also conscious of his move .in my opinion as I have personally seen and observed through his previous, litigations, during arrest and trial, as my father has conducted his personnel cases during which mohtarma Benazir Bhutto used to be the petitioner, I have an opinion that none of the rival could dare to counter Mr. zardari at present. he is too much if I recall his profile during previous years. If he could sustain those convictions, then this agitation is a piece of cake for him. he is a stubborn ,reactive and retaliating personality .his image is not as we see in our routine atmosphere of politics and politician. Please see Mr. Aitazaz and many like him could not even manage to go against him if he desires.
