MQM Cowers as PPP Growl

By Imran Ali • Nov 27th, 2009 • Category: Politics • One Response

One should give credit to the strategists of the Pakistan People’s Party who carved out a fine tactical approach to leash in their allies with some master strokes of aggressions, threats and warnings.

MQM was actually playing angels on various issues. They were enjoying the power, perks and privileges and yet they were criticizing the government. They got benefits from the National Reconciliation Ordinance and yet they refused to support the PPP for the same. They were allies but they confronted bitterly PPP in the Gilgit-Baltistan elections.

It’s a classic example of the blackmailing by MQM. They did it with Pervez Musharraf and Musharraf had’nt have the nerve to respond and he kept on ducking in front of the MQM pressure. But PPP knows how to control MQM and they have spoken to them in the language which they understand.

And they have understood it seems, as the MQM leadership is meek, silent and even the head honcho in London Altaf Hussain has asked Mustafa Azizabadi (the Ghalib of MQM) to shutup. The likes of Azizabadi cannot write and publish such poems without the will of Altaf Hussain.
