Pakistan’s Premier cellular company Mobilink has accounced the inauguration of Mobilink Awards. They intend to give these awards to those individuals who are doing some exceptional work for the welfare and  betterment of society.

This drive by Mobilink is basically aimed at recognizing the heroes. It’s a marketing oriented drive, no doubt about that, and it’s equally true that they are obsessed with the “hero” word. First they went on to find Mobilink hunt for cricketing heroes, and now they have broaden their scope.

Mobilink must also make the results, benefits and the eventual outcome of their such drives in public. The resources they spend on such drives during their start and progress, they must also spend something to tell the people what exactly it achieved.

In this new drive Mobilink is offering awards in professions like Visual arts, liberal arts, sports, commerce, engineering etc.

I would be more interested in the transparency of selecting the heroes, and then what did this drive achieved, besides of earning Mobilink a good name.
